    Kenya Focal Place Project Learning Coordinator

    Role Scope And Key Responsibilities

    • Document success stories and lessons learned from project work, and contribute to presentations, memos, and other communication materials.
    • Gather input from TNC partner organizations on challenges and success for community-based conservation in Kenya and share these internally within TNC and externally with interested parties.
    • Coordinate organization-wide support for the Kenya Focal Place initiative.
    • Conduct periodic data quality assurance checks of data sources
    • Participate in the development and tracking of work plans and ensure alignment with TNC’s Kenya program strategy, agreement on milestones, and inclusion of monitoring, evaluation, and learning activities in the work plan.
    • Integrate multiple workstreams and teams and ensure overall data quality, including organizing and supporting data collection for project evaluations, and ensuring integrity of data collection and data management relating to project progress reporting.
    • Prepare and present Focal Place-supported project updates at the biannual Strategy Review and tri-annual Program Review calls.
    • Collaborate with Kenya program MEL officer and other monitoring, evaluation, and learning experts in other focal places to enhance cross-learning.
    • Provide programmatic support and budget tracking for the projects within the Focal Place portfolio.
    • Provide team coordination such as scheduling, agenda setting, notetaking, follow-up, circulating materials, and maintaining records.

    What You'll Bring

    • Bachelor’s degree and minimum 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience, including at least 2 years in a monitoring, evaluation, and learning-related role.
    • Experience with rapid adaptive management or agile project management approaches.
    • Experience collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data and writing reports.
    • Experience in building networks or organizational capacity, facilitating informational sessions, increasing internal knowledge and capacity.
    • Interpersonal skills experience, able to work collaboratively and build team cohesion.
    • Experience coordinating complex projects in a decentralized organization, working across teams, operating units, and functions to achieve optimal results.
    • Experience communicating effectively with multiple audiences and to prepare professional presentations and reports.
    • Organization, planning, and problem-solving skills experience.
