    Support Engineer

    To support our internal team on the technical challenges they may encounter while using our systems. You will also help the customer support team to resolve customer challenges by troubleshooting the issues and forwarding them to the relevant engineering team. Your role is crucial to maintain transparent communication internally and externally through the customer support team regarding any technical challenges that may occur in our systems.

    What you will do:

    • Obsess about the customer- Bring your A game that will result to fast resolution to customer challenges
    • Be open- Be transparent within your team and the rest of the Sendy team.
    • Grow together- Work closely with our customer support, product and engineering teams to solve customer issues, Empower internal staff with the skills/knowledge to resolve most common issues on their own.
    • Be flexible- Availability to address tickets raised. Address issues raised on a number of platforms i.e Slack and Jira service desk
    • Simplify processes- Improve the response and resolution times to tickets raised by our internal staff
    • Continuously learn –  Explore new tools & systems, Document FAQs for easy reference by new team members

    What you should have:

    • Bachelor Degree in computer science or a related discipline.
    • Knowledge of Relational Databases and SQL.
    • Three years  experience in IT operations support, especially in supporting Web, iOS/Android applications.
    • Ability to read through and understand system logs.
    • Good communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
    • Good learning attitude and strong result and quality driven mindset.
    • Must be a quick learner and highly organized.
    • Analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills.
    • Flexibility and adaptability.
    • Open to change.
    • Calm under chaos.

    Key Stakeholders: 

    The  Support Engineer will be:

    • Required to work within a cross-functional product development team.
