    Technical Manager

    DESCRIPTION:

    Our client is a multi-disciplinary property consultancy, firmly established as both a national and global leader in property & facilities management and corporate real estate services, with a presence in more than 35 countries globally which includes Kenya.
    With their fully integrated, self-performing property solution they have services ranging from property valuations to development and corporate real estate. Looking to join their team in Kenya they are recruiting for a Technical Facilities Manager.

    Key Responsibilities

    • You will be managing a highly prestigious precinct, comprised of more than 78000sqm that consists of retail, commercial and residential space.
    • Your main responsibility will be to ensure that the precinct including all technical assets and equipment is safe, running effectively and well maintained, by leading, deploying, and managing your technical team as well as service providers and contractors.
    • In this newly created team, it will fall to you to ensure a culture of accountability, and excellent service delivery is harboured.  Aside from ensuring low call out ratios are maintained, preventative and planned maintenance is scheduled, asset registers are up to date, and health and safety files are in order and compliant with the local regulations, your budgeting and forecasting will ensure to the effective running of the asset in its entirety.

    QUALIFICATION/SPECIAL SKILLS:

    • This role will suit a commercially and technically minded individual with excellent communication skills, and a technical degree in engineering, with a preference for a  GMR2.
    •  To be a suitable candidate you will need to have at least 5 years experience, with a preference for experience in a trade or craft, aside from that its important that you also have demonstrable knowledge of buildings, building services, mechanical, plumbing and Hvac.
