    Pharmacy Stock Controller

    DESCRIPTION

    Proving the in-dosage requirements, Formulary decisions, Drug therapy regimens and drugs interaction.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    •  Maintain proper security conditions for medications.
    •  Make recommendation for therapy changes to the physician and client facilities staff when necessary.
    •  Be in charge of any Special projects regarding LTC and patient safety as deemed necessary.
    •  Investigate and resolve medication-related queries by patients on LTC.
    •  Ensure that medications are delivered to patients appropriately.
    •  Evaluate LTC medication orders for appropriateness of drug, dosage, potential interactions and proper administration.
    • Verify, expedite and oversee all aspects involved in the dispensing of medications to long-term care patients.
    •  Ensure that dispense medicines are correctly supplied and labeled.
    •  Conduct medication reconciliation services to patients to monitor therapy and treatment outcomes.
    •  Maintain customers’ database to include: medical history, clinical and laboratory data, contact information, list of medications etc.
    •  Communicate with the hospital’s nursing staff, physicians and other healthcare team members in regards to medication-related query.
    •  Liaise with clinics to enroll more patients into LTC.
    •  Supervise the preparation of any medicines for long-term care patients.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technologist
    • 1-2 years of experience. Experience as stock controller will be an added advantage.

    Clinical Instructor/Educator

    DESCRIPTION

    Responsible for developing and delivering training programs for clinical health students.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Conducting trainings sessions for healthcare/nursing students.
    • Supervising and guiding student during clinical rotations, providing direct feedback and evaluation.
    • Assisting students in developing clinical skills including patients assessment, diagnosis and treatment planning.
    • Collaborating with the curriculum committee to develop and revise clinical trainings modules, ensuring alignment with program objectives.
    • Providing mentorship and guidance to students, fostering their professional development growth.
    • Assisting students in setting personal and professional goals, and supporting them in achieving those goals.
    • Developing and administering assessment  to evaluate students' clinical knowledge, skills and competencies.
    • Participating in students progress meeting and providing feedback to the program director and faculty.
    • Engaging in ongoing professional development activities to stay updated with advances in medical knowledge, technology, and teaching methodologies.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing
    • Medical Education will be an added advantage
    • Nursing experience, 3-5 years experience in a busy hospital
    • Valid Licence
    • Valid ACLS & BLS
    • TVET number will be an added advantage
