    RO- Machine Operator

    Introduction    

    The Job Holder is responsible for effective operation of RO Water Plant to deliver the required Quantity and Quality of water for use in Blending and CIP processes. This position is also responsible for asset care and inventory control of RO Machine related inputs

    Specification    

    • Area 1: RO Machine Operation
    • Operate and Maintain Reverse osmosis Plant to produce optimum Quality and Quantity of potable water
    • Inspect, service and repair components of the water treatment plant including water intakes, pipes, water storage vessels, chemical treatment equipment controls, circulation pumps, and valves
    • Maintain general administration of Ro Operations to ensure adequacy of water supply for Blending and CIP Processes
    • Prepare Job cards for servicing and repairs
    • Inspect the RO Plant on a continuous basis to ensure effective operations
    • Establish & Implement CIP and Autonomous Maintenance Plans
    • Ensure conformance to Preventive Maintenance Plans
    • Maintain Operational logs and Maintenance reports and provide the same to Line Manager/Engineering on a daily basis
    • Management of RO Inventory

    Area 2: Reports

    • Cleaning logs
    • RO input/ output reconciliation reports
    • Machine operation logs
    • Equipment Maintenance Reports
    • Processed Water Quality Reports
    • 5s reports
    • Safety reports

    Area 3: Safety

    • Work in line with the requirements of the Best Safety, Occupational, Health and Good Manufacturing
    • Identify work place hazards for permanent removal

    Requirements    

    • A Diploma or Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation and Control Engineering, or Related field
    • At least one (2) years’ experience in Ro Operations
    • Practical experience in use of MS packages.
    • Mechanical aptitude and the ability to solve problems intuitively
    • The Operator should be competent with experience of Ro Operations for a minimum of 2 years
    • Operator must have the ability to apply data to formulas that determine treatment requirements, flow levels and concentration levels.

    Procurement Manager

    Introduction    

    The jobholder will be responsible for the development and implementation of procurement strategies which ensure efficient, quality and cost effective supply of goods, works and services that supports the business.

    Specification    

    • Prepare and implement procurement strategies and annual procurement budgets that conform to the overall business strategy and accountability for its implementation
    • Define and manage key supplier relationships so as to control spend and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement cost while upholding quality including technical input to negotiations on strategically significant contracts.
    • Oversee the interpretation and implementation of procurement laws, rules and regulations including performing risk management for supply contracts and agreements and ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.
    • Implement category management and sourcing management as part of the procurement function in order to unlock value through Procurement activities.
    • Work in collaboration with user departments to track performance of outsourced services providers and ensure that they are in conformance with agreed Service levels.
    • Establish systems to attract, develop, engage, and retain talented individuals and create an environment where they can realize their full potential and contribute to the attainment of departmental and organizational goals.
    • Track and report on key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness in line with the organisational objectives.
    • Lead the implementation of the automation of Procurement activities across the organisation.

    Requirements    

    • Bachelor’s degree in a business related field.
    • A Master’s degree in a related field is an added advantage.
    • A post graduate qualification in supply chain management is required.
    • Seven (7) years’ experience in procurement in a similar environment, two of which must be in a management role.
    • Practical experience in use of MS packages and ERP systems.
