    Local Procurement Officer

    Reporting to :

    • Project Manager or his designee(s).

    Job Specifications :

    • Minimum of a diploma in Purchasing and Supply Management or previous experience in a similar role/environment.
    • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
    • Good at multi – tasking. 
    • Good planning and organisational skills.

    Job Summary :

    • Negotiating prices with suppliers.
    • Ordering and buying from suppliers.
    • Sourcing for new suppliers and/ or sub contractors.
    • Producing purchase orders and sending them to the relevant suppliers.- Must check for accuracy, completeness and clarity of information before obtaining approval of the purchase order.
    • Reviewing supplier terms and prices regularly.
    • Ensuring timely delivery of goods to the company premises.
    • Sending out RFQ’s to suppliers once a material request has been issued. Make a comprehensive spreadsheet for the said item with all details including product specification, price, brand, payment terms, lead time etc for the relevant authorities to make final decision on choice of supplier.
    • Assist the procurement manager in maintaining current and up to date procurement documents and manuals. 
    • Maintaining petty cash and giving a total account of small purchases on a monthly basis.
    • Coordinate with suppliers to confirm the right materials needed. Obtaining samples whenever necessary.
    • Ensure all materials arriving in the premises have been registered accordingly in the stock system.
    • Maintain records to ensure that procurement process, decision and agreements are accurately documented for accountability and ease of reference.
    • Assist with research into alternative products that may prove to be more cost-efficient.
    • Assist with the reconciliation of invoices against delivery notes and purchase orders.
    • Opening supplier accounts in the system and documenting all relevant information.

    Gym Instructor

    Responsibilities 

    • Conduct fitness assessments and consultations with residents to determine their goals, health conditions, and fitness levels
    • Lead group fitness classes in various disciplines, including Yoga, Meditation, Zumba/other dance forms, Boxing, Kickboxing, Bodybuilding Class, Crossfit, Aerobics, Spinning, etc
    • Design and implement personalised and group workout programs for residents, incorporating a combination of appropriate fitness modalities
    • Demonstrate and train clients on proper use of fitness equipment and machines
    • Provide instruction and guidance on proper exercise techniques, ensuring clients’ safety and effectiveness of their workouts
    • Offer nutritional guidance and advice to clients, emphasising the importance of a balanced diet and healthy eating habits.
    • Promote and ensure cleanliness of the Gym
    • Maintain records of attendance and control use of  gym equipment against damages and loss

    Requirements and skills

    • Previous work experience as a Fitness Trainer or similar role – preferably in a membership club
    • Extensive experience and expertise in teaching and practising Yoga, Meditation, Zumba/other dance forms, Boxing, Kickboxing, Bodybuilding Class, Crossfit, Aerobics, Weight Training, and Nutrition
    • Strong knowledge of human anatomy, exercise physiology, and fitness principles
    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with residents and provide clear instructions
    • Ability to adapt workout programs and teaching methods to accommodate individuals with varying fitness levels and abilities.
    • Passionate about health and wellness, with a genuine desire to help clients achieve their fitness goals
    • Current CPR and First Aid certifications (preferred)
    • Great time management and organisational abilities
    • Willingness to work within flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate client schedules
    • The ability to use information technology for a variety of purposes such as record keeping, class scheduling, session reminders, client and group management, and client and group analysis

    Package

    • The job will have set KPI which will largely be rated by customers experience
    • 50,000/- Gross  retainer
    • Piece rate for classes
    • Potential annual bonus

    Data Protection Officer

    • We are seeking a data protection officer to help improve the management of potentially sensitive information, conduct regular internal data security audits, and serve as the main point of contact between Unity Homes and data protection authorities. The ideal candidate will have excellent organisational, communication, and management skills, along with the ability to lead training sessions and workshops for staff members. In this role, the data protection officer will often be asked to independently communicate with all relevant employees to promote data protection compliance within the organization. 

    Objectives of this role

    • Implement all the recommendations that have been identified from the recently conducted data protection audit. 
    • Serve as the main point of contact within the organisation for staff members, regulators, and relevant public authorities on issues related to data protection
    • Ensure that company policies are in compliance with codes of practice such as GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) and Data Protection Act 2019.
    • Evaluate the existing data protection framework to identify areas of no or partial compliance, and rectify any issues
    • Devise training plans and provide data protection advice to staff members
    • Inform and advise the data controller or data processor on all matters related to data protection
    • Promote a culture of data protection and compliance across all units of the organization

    Responsibilities

    • Provide advice and educate employees on important data compliance requirements
    • Guiding the team on Data collection, recording, organisation, structuring;  storage, adaptation or alteration;  retrieval, consultation or use; disclosure by transmission, dissemination, or otherwise making available; or alignment or combination, restriction, erasure or destruction. 
    • Draft new and amend existing internal data protection policies, guidelines, and procedures, in consultation with key stakeholders
    • Deliver training across all business units to staff members who are involved in data handling or processing
    • Conduct data protection audits to ensure compliance and address potential issues
    • Maintain records of all data processing activities of the company
    • Serve as point of contact for data protection authorities

    Required skills and qualifications

    • Three or more years of experience in data protection compliance or related field
    • Expertise in data protection laws and practices, including a deep understanding of GDPR and Data Protection Act 2019
    • Experience in a legal, audit, or risk management role 
    • Strong project management skills
    • Ability to work effectively under pressure and to manage sensitive and confidential information
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong attention to detail

    Preferred skills and qualifications

    • A complete course in Data Protection Act training 
    • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent)  in legal  studies  or in cyber security
    • Background in auditing function will be an added advantage 
    • Proficiency with software for preparing reports and presentations
