Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer and Section Head of Dermatology in the department of Internal Medicine the overall purpose of the role is providing expert medical care in diagnosing and treating conditions affecting the skin, hair, and nails. Your role will involve performing thorough skin examinations, conducting and interpreting diagnostic tests, creating effective treatment plans for both acute and chronic dermatologic issues and attending Dermatological emergencies as and when required.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Examine patients to assess general physical condition.
- Advise patients on preventive care techniques.
- Keep record patient medical histories.
- Counsel patients on topics such as the need for annual dermatologic screenings, sun protection, skin cancer awareness, or skin and lymph node self-examinations.
- Diagnose and treat skin conditions such as acne, dandruff, athlete’s foot, moles, psoriasis, and skin cancer.
- Perform skin biopsies to diagnose dermatological conditions
- Perform Dermatological procedures to improve appearance, make early diagnoses, or control diseases such as skin cancer.
- Recommend diagnostic tests based on patients’ histories and physical examination findings.
- Read current literature, talk with colleagues, and participate in professional organizations or conferences to keep abreast of developments in dermatology.
- Provide dermatologic consultation to other health professionals.
- Train interns or residents in diagnosis and treatment of dermatological diseases.
- Increase awareness about skin health and other dermatological issues
- Refer patients to other healthcare practitioners or health resources, as needed.
- Conduct research to increase knowledge about medical issues.
- Provide therapies such as Intralesional steroids, cryo therapy, electrocautery, to treat age spots, sun damage, rough skin, discolored skin, or oily skin.
- Evaluate patients to determine eligibility for cosmetic procedures such as liposuction, laser resurfacing, and microdermabrasion.
- Analyze patient data to determine patient needs or treatment goals.
- Conduct or order diagnostic tests such as chest radiographs (x-rays), microbiologic tests, and endocrinological tests as and when required
Qualifications, Regulatory & Legal Requirements
- MBChB/MBBS/MD or an equivalent qualification recognized by MPDB,
- Residency training in Dermatology Section
- MPDB Registration and Specialist License.
- Five years as a Dermatologist or sub specialty training in Dermatology Medicine

The overall purpose of this job is to provide assurance, consulting, and advisory services to the M.P Shah Hospital Board of Directors and the C.E.O by assessing governance, efficacy, and risk exposure of the hospital.
Notable priority areas for the function are billings and collections, accounting, finance and accounts payables, charge capture, regulatory compliance, systems implementation, cybersecurity risks/threats, vendor/ third party and joint venture risk management, fraud risk management and enterprise risk management.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead the implementation of the Internal Audit and Risk divisional strategy initiatives.
- Advisory and Decision Making: Serve as a consultant and advisor to the board, through the relevant committees and the CEO, on the efficacy and efficiency of the governance structures, risk exposure, internal control systems and revenue leakages by leading audits of the aforementioned areas against best practice; and high quality-impactful reporting to uphold the sustainability of the hospital.
- Lead the development and execution of the approved annual risk-based audit plan.
- Keep abreast and understand healthcare organizational vulnerabilities (financial crime, fraud, and corruption) and establish an appropriate framework to identify, prevent, and respond to them.
- Reduce/ prevent revenue losses by institutionalizing systems, in collaboration with Finance and IT Departments.
- Lead the creation of a hospital-wide risk management culture by enforcing dynamic risk assessments to inform audit areas and leading the identification of key risks.
- Regulatory Compliance: Drive organization-wide compliance to legal and regulatory standards
- Align the efforts of the departmental employees by translating the divisional objectives into actionable initiatives and effectively cascading them to staff organizational goals.
Qualifications, Regulatory & Legal Requirements
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or any other related business field from a recognized institution.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or other business-related fields from a recognized institution.
- Must be a qualified accountant with relevant professional qualifications such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA-K) or ACCA, Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
- Should be a registered member of any of the following professional bodies: Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK), Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), or Information Systems Audit Control Association (ISACA)
- Minimum of 10 years audit experience with 5 years at management level.
