    Regional Audit Director, Africa, VisionFund International

    Role Responsibilities

    Strategic Leadership, Stakeholder Engagement, & Planning and Communication (35%)

    • Proactively engage, closely collaborate and partner with key stakeholders including Executives and Regional/MFI Leadership and Boards, and provide insight and pragmatic, forward-looking recommendations on matters related to risk management, internal controls and governance, and actively support in managing critical risks that can impact the achievement of Organisational Strategy,
      • Present quarterly to the Regional Leadership and the local Audit and Risk Committee (ARC) on audit results, providing strategic insights and key trend analyses.
      • Represent VFI Internal Audit and play a key advisory role on the local ARCs and other Committees and forums, as delegated by the Global Director of Internal Audit.
    • Strategic and Functional Leadership of MFI Internal Audit Managers (IAM) and Regional Audit Managers (RAMs), and an extended team of Internal Audit professionals:
      • Oversee the development of annual internal audit plans in the MFIs, in consultation with the local stakeholders, and present this to the local Audit and Risk Committees (ARC) annually for approval;
      • Oversee the preparation of MFI Internal Audit annual budgets, ensuring concurrence by MFI Leadership and approval by local and VFI ARCs.
      • Oversee VFI Internal Audit Regional talent management, including working in liaison with MFIs on recruitment of IAMs, staff training, development and well-being. Ensure development of the regional Internal Audit team’s strong understanding of all VisionFund International (VFI)'s operations, the strategic risks (internal and external) that threaten the organisation's achievement of its strategy and key objectives,
      • Oversee engagement supervision activities to ensure internal audit deliverables are in line with the Global Internal Audit Standards (GIAS) and are of high quality.
    • Play a key role in developing and rolling out VFI’s Continuous Audit (Analytics) model within the Region and in the promotion of future key initiatives to strengthen/enhance IA activities and methodology.
    • Provide support to the Investigations unit of VFI Internal Audit to facilitate investigation of fraud allegations and unethical conduct. Ensuring that reported cases are thoroughly reviewed, discussed and resolved to mitigate risks and losses to the organization.

    Promote and Ensure the Regional IA Team and the MFI Internal Audit Teams’ High Performance (15%)

    • Regional leadership and oversight on the design, implementation and continuous improvement of the VFI Internal Audit Regional Team’s performance framework to ensure the RAMs, and the rest the MFI Internal Audit Teams deliver on all aspects of a professional risk-based internal audit function in line with evolving best practice and in accordance with the Global Internal Audit Standards (GIAS), the Code of Ethics, VFI Internal Audit’s Charter and VFI's policies and procedures;
    • Continually enhance VFI Internal Audit and MFI Internal Audit Team’s ability to conduct both assurance and advisory reviews to add value and improve the organisation's operations while considering the organisation's key initiatives and strategic direction.
    • Drive stakeholder relationships and communication and recommend/implement actions to achieve improvements; evaluate the advocacy efforts of the internal audit activity and determine key performance indicators to evaluate the success of the internal audit activity;

    Promote and Ensure High Quality Assurance & Advisory Services (15%)

    • Evaluate and communicate to Global and Regional Leadership and the local ARCs the collective outcomes of engagements and follow-ups performed by the internal audit activity. Assess the impact of residual risk; communicate management's acceptance of risk to Senior Management and the Board.
    • Recommend improvements to the organisation's Global and MFI Office governance policies, processes, structures, overall control environment, risk management strategy, strategic planning process, organisational behaviour, performance management measures and techniques and recommend actions to address risks related to the organisation's business processes.
    • Maintain and promote the highest conformance and ethical standards for VFI Internal Audit and promptly resolve any Quality Assurance or Peer Review areas for improvement.
    • Implement and continually improve the monitoring, follow-up and reporting of audit finding remediation.
    • All VFI Internal Audit and MFI Internal Audit activities conform to the Global Internal Audit Standards (GIAS) and Code of Ethics and VFI Internal Audit manual.
    • Audit and advisory reports are focused on areas of highest risk to VFI and are delivered at a high level of quality and contribute to the organisation's continuous improvement of governance, risk management and the control environment.

    Drive Innovation (15%)

    • Continually drive and assess innovation/ improvement in MFI Internal Audit teams written and verbal communication skills, soft skills, and projects.
    • Partner with VFI leadership on organisational change initiatives in an advisory capacity and provide early input on governance, risk management and controls.
    • Be alert to the work of and drive collaboration with other assurance providers.

    Lead Global Centre Internal Audits (20%)

    • Lead and manage Global Centre Audits of MFIs, including overseeing Global Thematic audits, and Advisory reviews.
    • Support or conduct investigations as and when required, in liaison with the VFI Investigations Director.
    • Conduct Special Audit Reviews as and when required.

    Knowledge, Skills and Competencies

    Required Professional Experience

    • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Internal Audit or similar; MBA is a plus;
    • CPA and/or Chartered Financial Accountant or equivalent;
    • Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)
    • At least ten (10) years of internal audit experience, preferably in a "Big 4" firm or large multinational, at least 5 of which should be at a senior manager/director level.
    • Proven track record of relationship building at the senior level (Executive leadership, Audit and Risk Committees and Boards)
    • Proven experience in risk-based internal audit;
    • The ability to think strategically, make sense of complexity and apply "systems thinking".
    • Strong business acumen and understanding of functional linkages.
    • Ability to interact with and/or manage cross-functional teams.
    • Effectively and independently lead diverse teams for success
    • Strong commitment to quality and consistency of work, and to continuously drive improvements.
    • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills in English, excellent soft skills, and ability to motivate and influence all levels of management;
    • Solid interpersonal skills, including listening, relationship building and the ability to influence at the highest levels in the organisation.
    • Excellent MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio)

    Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications

    • Cross-cultural experience in INGOs, MicroFinance, or Financial Services
    • Experience in using Audit Software, Embedded Audit Tools/Techniques, Strategy Implementation
    • IT Audit and Fraud Investigation knowledge (CFE is a plus)
    • Data mining & analytics, including financial and trend analysis
    • Fluency in one or more of Spanish or French is a plus.

    Travel, Work and Language Requirements

    • May work from home or in a hybrid home/office arrangement.
    • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 40% of the time.

    Advisor, Faith & Development Knowledge Management & Capability

    Job Purpose

    The Faith & Development Knowledge Management and Capability Advisor designs and manages systems that help knowledge flow to and between the right people at the right time (in the right format and at the right cost).  This will help World Vision staff act more efficiently and effectively to deliver quality integrated programming that impacts the most vulnerable children, furthers the goals of WV’s global strategy and the achievement of its mission.

    This role will develop and implement an F&D KM and capability enhancement plan and system (including guidelines, processes, competencies, learning assets and learning pathways) to support WV teams to plan and implement comprehensive F&D competency and capability strengthening and understanding WV’s Christian faith in programme interventions.

    This role will manage the F&D Community of Practice (CoP), provide expert advice to the sector CoPs and other learning networks regarding collecting and sharing lessons learned.  This will lead to the identification and validation of promising practices for programme quality improvement, increase in staff capacity for field-level engagement, subject matter expert identification, and planning online learning opportunities for community members. In conjunction with the Global Knowledge Management colleagues, s/he will establish knowledge management systems and processes to ensure cross Partnership learning and development and support world-class implementation of holistic development programmes.

    This role collaborates with the Global Centre (GC) F&D Sr. Communications Advisor to ensure evidence of WV’s Christian identity and impact is shared with key stakeholders, including Global Centre Communications and Marketing teams, as well as SO, RO, and FO communicators and marketers.  This work will ultimately attract new donors and partners and build WV’s reputation as a global leader in Christian faith and child wellbeing. 

    Key Job Responsibilities

    Knowledge Management Systems & Capacity Building

    • Develop and implement the GC F&D KM plan, in line with Our Promise and overall GC F&D work plans.
    • Lead, establish, develop and maintain F&D knowledge sharing processes (i.e. knowledge access, capture, sharing, transfer, and retention) and information management system, using WVCentral and WVI.org.
    • Build the capacity of representative staff from each GC F&D Sub-Team to make the necessary changes to their respective WVCentral and WVI.org pages.
    • Establish, manage and promote the F&D Community of Practice (CoP).
    • Provide support and advice to other sector CoP’s around Christian faith integration.
    • Develop and implement systems that will promote a culture of collaboration and sharing among F&D stakeholders and programmatic subject matter experts.
    • In collaboration with the GC F&D DME Advisor, Business & Special Projects Manager and with appropriate systems, support data analysis and reporting on metrics for Strategic Imperative 1: Live out our Christian faith and calling with boldness and humility,
    • Ensure that M&E data and research are socialized internally and key findings are reviewed and validated for programme quality improvement
    • Serve as a member of the Global Knowledge Management-led KM working or advisory groups

    Faith & Development Capabilities

    • Develop, and lead the F&D Capability Strengthening Plan, in line with Our Promise and overall GC F&D work plan.
    • Lead the design, testing and roll-out of the F&D capability development system including competency frameworks, reference to policies, standards, guidelines and capability strengthening processes, In collaboration with key stakeholders (Regional F&D, P&C, learning and development, sectors)
    • Ensure the effective management and continual improvement of systems and tools to regularly assess F&D capability, maintaining a portfolio view across the Partnership. Coordinate support across entities to address capability gaps
    • Ensure the effective rollout of F&D competencies; integrating competencies into JDPDQs, P4P agreements and appraisals, in collaboration with Regional P&C and F&D leads
    • Lead the development of defined Learning Pathways for F&D (i.e. onboarding, certification, on-going professional development and capacity building) in partnership with Regional F&D, P&C and competency leads.
    • Plan, create, and lead collaborative efforts to design learning content using adult learning methodologies and ensuring alignment to sector competency frameworks in collaboration with Learning & Development and sector technical experts.

    Knowledge Management for Communications

    • In collaboration with the GC F&D Sr. Communications Advisor and F&D Leadership Team, support the development of the F&D communication plan,
    • Work with the GC F&D Sr. Communications Advisor and F&D stakeholders to share/compile evidence of best practice to support thought leadership that position WV as a thought leader in faith and child wellbeing.
    • Manage F&D communications system contacts (including oversight of listservs and critical contact information) to ensure relevant information, resources and knowledge assets reach appropriate audiences

    Church Partnerships & External Engagement

    • Support the implementation of the GC F&D External Engagement and Church Partnerships work plans.
    • Leverage strategic partnerships with humanitarian learning agencies and academic institutions to learn from external partners and share WV technical learning and knowledge for thought leadership.
    • Engage our external peer partners in knowledge sharing, learning and collaboration on issues of faith and child wellbeing
    • Represent WV among other NGO Knowledge Management Specialists to build collaborative relationships, keep abreast of trends, and promote WV’s promising practices in its KM work
    • Support WV engagement in prioritized external events

    Required Education & Professional Experience for the Role

    • Master’s degree in a related field. A degree or formal training in social science, communications, development, cross-cultural studies, or other related fields is preferred
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in knowledge and information management, systems implementation, and project management, preferably within an international development organisation.
    • Training in adult learning pedagogy, visual thinking, and performance consulting
    • Knowledge management training, certification          
    • Proven experience in sharing knowledge and information appropriately; leading activities that encourage and facilitate sharing; empowering others to organize and disseminate information
    • Proven ability to influence for a transformational change, inspire collaboration and achieve results.

    Data, AI & Emerging Technologies Head

    JOB PURPOSE:

    The Senior Director of Data, AI & Emerging Technologies will lead World Vision International's strategic initiatives in data governance, analytics, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies. This role is critical in driving World Vision's transformation into a data-driven organization while ensuring responsible innovation. The position leads a diverse team responsible for data architecture, data governance, analytics infrastructure, AI implementation, and organizational training. Working collaboratively across World Vision's decentralized structure, this leader will guide and execute the organization's data and AI strategy to enhance operational effectiveness and demonstrate humanitarian impact.

    ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE:

    Reporting directly to the CIO, the Senior Director will oversee the strategic use of data, AI, enterprise architecture, and emerging technologies, and build capacity across the organization to enhance decision-making, program delivery, and mission outcomes. This position leads a department with 5-10 direct and indirect reports.
