Responsibilities:

  • Conduct root cause analysis and problem-solving activities to identify underlying causes of quality issues, applying techniques such as 5 Whys, fishbone diagrams, and Pareto analysis.
  • Monitor adherence to quality standards, work instructions, and regulatory requirements throughout the production process, ensuring compliance with ISO, FDA, or industry-specific quality standards.
  • Train and educate production staff on quality control processes, procedures, and best practices, fostering a culture of quality awareness, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Participate in product development and validation activities, providing input on design reviews, risk assessments, and validation protocols to ensure product quality and reliability.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, customers, and regulatory agencies during quality audits, inspections, or certifications, providing documentation and support as needed.
  • Conduct supplier quality assessments and inspections, evaluating supplier performance, capabilities, and adherence to quality standards, and communicating feedback to suppliers.
  • Implement quality assurance tools and techniques, such as statistical process control (SPC), Six Sigma, or lean manufacturing principles, to monitor and improve process performance and product quality.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and advancements in quality management practices, participating in training programs, seminars, and professional development activities.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality management, industrial technology, or a related field; professional certification in quality management (e.g., ASQ CQE, CQM) is a plus.
  • Proven experience in quality control, quality assurance, or quality management roles, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Knowledge of quality management principles, methodologies, and tools, such as ISO 9001, Six Sigma, Total Quality Management (TQM), and statistical analysis techniques.
  • Familiarity with quality standards, regulations, and requirements applicable to the industry, such as FDA regulations, ISO standards, and customer-specific quality requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement corrective actions to improve quality and process performance.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in performing inspections, measurements, and tests, ensuring compliance with quality specifications and acceptance criteria.
