Job Purpose:
Reporting to the Head of Enterprise Risk, the jobholder is responsible for developing, maintaining, managing and executing a comprehensive process for identifying, assessing, mitigating, monitoring and reporting on risks that may impact on organisational performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement and maintain an ERM framework and supporting policies and procedures including risk tolerance levels and appetite.
- Develop and implement a strategic and annual ERM plan including the risk profile in line with the relevant frameworks and guidelines.
- Develop and implement risk assessment methodologies, models and systems.
- Assess and maintain the risk maturity profile of the organization.
- Facilitate the identification of risks at the strategic and operational levels utilizing appropriate tools and techniques.
- Facilitate the development of risk response strategies (mitigation plans).
- Report all relevant ERM matters including; findings, risk positions and recommendations to relevant stakeholders.
- Establish and maintain a risk management philosophy and culture within the organization.
Minimum Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience required for this role
- Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting or Finance or a Business related degree
- Relevant Professional Qualification
- At least 3 years relevant experience in a banking environment.
- Applicable legislative and regulatory framework
- Credit/market and operations risk management
- Principles and practices of ERM
