The Supply Chain Officer will report to the Supply Chain Manager

Supply Chain Officer Job Responsibilities

• Facilitate the procurement of goods and services for the Commission
• Prepare requests for proposals
• Follow up on tender documents
• Prepare letters of invitation to bidders to attend tender openings
• Facilitate tender opening sessions
• Maintain database of pre-qualified suppliers
• Review contracts and liaise with the legal department on preparing service level agreements based on tender requisitions

Qualifications for the Supply Chain Officer Job

• Bachelor’s degree in Purchasing and Supplies Management, Commerce, Business Administration (Supplies Management) or equivalent
• Diploma in Purchasing and Supply Management from CIPS, KISM or any other accredited institution
• Demonstrated supervisory and competence as reflected in work performance and results
• Proficiency with computer applications
• Good analytical, supervisory and writing skills
• Attended a supervisory skills course of not less than 2 weeks from accredited institution
• Minimum of three (3) years’ relevant working experience
