Our client is a mini-dairy processing plant dealing with milk products.

They seek to hire a milk factory operations officer

Duties and Responsibilities

• Receiving and testing milk quality and standards
• Taking the milk through the various processing stages using the different machinery
• Supervising Correct cleaning and handling of machines and other factory equipment
• Ensuring proper CIP SOPs are observed
• Management of water boiler
• Examine work orders and work with equipment operators
• Maintain equipment logs on the milk processed and milk tests
• Keep record documents for equipment
• Maintain proper milk records
• Adherence of Quality control Sops
• Coordinate efforts with other staff involved in processing and sale of the milk products
• Adhere to clean and hygienic standards by keeping work stations clean
• Performs preventive/predictive maintenance procedures
• Compiling of reports for various projects
• Any other duties as assigned

Qualification & Skills

• Certificate/ Diploma in food science, dairy management-with a biases in value addition and processing or related field or at least two years’ experience in a milk factory (N:B No applications by degree holders applicants will be accepted for this position)
• Must have relevant experience and training in milk & hygiene handling background.
• Relevant experience in milk & yoghurt processing
• Must be or above 23 years old
• Two years’ experience in Milk factories
• Basic computer skills and internet access
• Strong and effective written and verbal communication skills
• Well-developed technical communication skills
• Ability to maintain detailed, accurate records, and prepare necessary reports
• Must ready to work shifts
