    Assistant Finance Officer

    Key Responsibilities

    • Maintain accurate financial records, including preparing and processing invoices, payments, and receipts.
    • Assist in preparing monthly financial statements, budgets, and cash flow forecasts.
    • Reconcile bank statements and monitor accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
    • Prepare statutory returns payments, including VAT, PAYE, NSSF, and NHIF, in a timely manner.
    • Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable, ensuring timely collections and payments.
    • Collaborate with the finance team to streamline accounting procedures and implement best practices.
    • Provide financial insights to management to aid in decision-making and strategy formulation.
    • Assist in audits by providing necessary financial data and supporting documentation.
    • Ensure proper documentation and filing of all financial transactions and records.

    Qualifications and Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting or a related field.
    • CPA Part 1 qualification 
    • A minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in an insurance field
    • Proficiency in accounting software or similar tools.
    • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and other financial analysis tools.
    • Strong understanding of Kenyan tax laws and regulatory compliance.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • High level of integrity, attention to detail and confidentiality.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
