To ensure successful delivery of the Drama, Music, and Dance Program in the school.
Key Responsibilities:
To lead the successful delivery of the Arts and the Performing Arts across the school.
To get students actively engaged in the performing arts and to display their works to parents regularly.
To inspire and enthuse members of the team, with a clear vision for the future direction of the Performing Arts Faculty.
To develop an innovative and progressive curriculum in Performing Arts.
To undertake regular audits and quality assurance checks within Performing Arts to ensure that the highest standards are being achieved in all aspects of the Faculty’s work.
To safeguard young people by ensuring that all aspects of Health and Safety are adhered to in lessons and preparation areas.
To lead the development of differentiated schemes of work so that every young person makes progress in their learning.
To keep up-to-date about subject development and to take part in relevant CPD for this purpose, disseminating to other staff where appropriate.
To lead the Faculty’s strategic planning and self-evaluation processes.
To provide regular reports on student performance based on internal assessment data and to plan effective interventions as appropriate.
To promote and lead on the delivery of all extra-curricular activities in Performing Arts.
To act as a role model to others, demonstrating high standards of professionalism in all aspects of leadership.
To coordinate the resources of the Faculty, giving support and guidance to relevant staff.
To complete all administrative tasks in a timely and accurate manner.
To develop contacts with national and international artists, producers, promoters, directors, and other collaborators that contribute to the development of high-profile, high-quality artistic productions for the school.
To act as lead producer on specifically identified productions and initiatives.
To work with the Marketing and Communication Department to deliver audiences, mainly parents and prospective parents, for all performing arts related activities.
To work with the Marketing and Communication Department on the delivery of marketing and press campaigns for the performing arts program.
To supply up-to-date information to the Marketing team for use on all marketing and press materials.
To ensure the Performing Arts program achieves a high profile by flagging up potential creative campaign ideas to the Marketing and Communication Department.
To perform such other tasks as may be assigned by the school management.
Ideal Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field
A minimum of 2 years of experience in leading successful extra-curricular activities and performance
Ability to communicate effectively with school stakeholders, e.g., parents, colleagues, and external stakeholders
High sense of teamwork
Strong analytical skills, with an ability to analyze information
