    Manager (SCM Sustainability Compliance)

    Brief Posting Description

    Reporting to the Senior Manager, Supply Chain Enablers, will be responsible for the management of environmental, social and economic impacts in the supply chain, and the encouragement of good governance practices by suppliers, throughout the lifecycles of goods and services.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Integrate Safaricom sustainability standards within the day-to-day SCM business practices and the supply base
    • Lead, develop and implement relevant SCM standards, tools and processes
    • Coordinate and support supplier community to integrate sustainability into their operations
    • Sustainability training for suppliers to raise awareness of responsible supply chain management practices and help strengthen the suppliers CSR culture
    • Lead, coordinate and monitor supplier sustainability development assessments
    • Lead, Develop and continuously improve internal and external sustainability programs
    • Drive good governance, transparency and engagement with partners
    • Develop a system for tracking, monitoring and reporting on sustainability/UNGC/SDG targets
    • Conduct supplier assessment by executing continuous evaluation of risk exposure through supplier self-assessment / fact finding / audits accordingly
    • Proactively prepare and provide required information
    • Regular reports to SCM and Corporate Responsibility Department

    Qualifications

    • A graduate with a degree in any relevant field from a recognized university
    • Professional certification in Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS)
    • Have at least 3 – 4 years’ relevant work experience in a supply chain field
    • Good knowledge of MS office
    • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills

    3. Clearance certificate from a reputable Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).
    4. University Diploma/Degree Certificate/ Letter of completion from university in case you have not received your diploma/degree certificate.
    5. National ID/Passport.
