    Officer, Project Planning and Quality Assurance

    Job summary

    The job holder will play a crucial role in supporting the effective planning, execution, and monitoring of various programmes and projects. Working closely with the Head of Planning & Information Management (PIM) and other key stakeholders, the Officer will assist in developing programme content, tracking project performance, and ensuring timely communication and reporting. The role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with diverse teams to promote synergies and enhance project cycle management (PCM) practices. S/he will support the Head, Planning and Information to coordinate, with teams, throughout the project cycle, identification, formulation and appraisal, implementation, evaluation and completion, providing support, ensuring coherence, and promoting linkage across programmes.

    Academic and professional qualifications

    •  A bachelor’s degree or a diploma in a relevant discipline such as: Information Technology, International Development; Social sciences; Political science; Economics; Public or business administration/management.
    •  Professional training in Project Cycle Management is an added advantage.

    Work experience

    • For undergraduate degree holders, at least three years relevant experience in project management with strong reporting, communication, administration and coordinating skills.
    • For Diploma holders, at least three years relevant experience in project management with strong reporting, communication, administration and coordinating skills.

    Technical skills and behavioural competencies

    •  Comprehensive understanding of results-based programme and project cycle management as well as TMAs operating environment at national and regional level.
    •  Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
    •  A high degree of computer proficiency including advanced knowledge of the MS Office Suite and a willingness to learn and interact with new technology.
    •  Highly organised, adaptive, resourceful and with ability to handle multiple tasks and work independently.
    •  Ability to prioritise and consistently produce work of a high standard.
