    Salesforce Administrator - REAP for Nutrition

    JOB SUMMARY

    The Salesforce Administrator REAP for Nutrition is part of the ICT team focused on providing the defined product specific technology set up and support to programs that are nutrition layered. You will lead the definition and implementation of the required technology in collaboration with the key program stakeholders. The incumbent will serve as the lead Salesforce Administrator and developer, promoting technology innovation to serve the current and future REAP for Nutrition Program needs, optimize user experience through system training, adoption and support, keeping abreast of the technology and product level needs and driving product specific custom system development projects.

    Responsibilities

    Product and Program Needs Analysis

    • Gather the product and related project level requirements that require system improvement or change.
    • Develop and implement product and related project level technology development and support strategy.
    • Lead the innovative technology initiatives that enhance the product and project delivery.

    Custody And Maintenance of The Overall Performance Insight (PI) Architecture

    • Maintain the architectural integrity of the Performance Insight ecosystem – Salesforce and Taroworks. This means maintenance of the PI design repository and architectural review of all proposed additions and changes.
    • Definition and enforcement of all the PI change processes that support architectural integrity. This will cover all applications implemented on top of Salesforce.
    • Development of template repository and implementation of cross program reuse to enhance architectural simplicity.
    • Maintain relationships with Salesforce and Taroworks to ensure BOMA applies best practice design principles and uses applications that are value for money.

    Manage system development and change process for the systems in scope of your work (Salesforce & Taroworks)

    • Develop and maintain new features and functionality from Salesforce and third-party applications and required by product/ project.
    • Develop, build, test and deploy new custom solutions in Salesforce and other systems based on the defined systems development process.
    • Maintain Salesforce and other systems environments to ensure the system development processes and policies are adhered to; ensure stability within the system landscape.
    • Provide the subject matter expertise for solution architecture that will include configuration, development, integration, and customization of complex solutions within our salesforce.
    • Communicate system changes to the users in advance so they understand the change and how to use it prior to implementation.
    • Manage new releases of Salesforce and efficiently roll out new features.
    • Create and maintain fields, views, reports, dashboards, campaigns and other Salesforce objects and functions.
    • Create custom objects when necessary.
    • Handle on-going customization/ alteration of Salesforce.
    • Maintain, enhance, and create workflows, functions and configurations within the Salesforce environment.
    • Create new reporting capabilities and respond to ad hoc reporting requests as needed.
    • Provide support functions as needed.

    Maintain Security and Integrity for the PI Ecosystem

    • Map Salesforce hierarchy and territories in response to personnel changes.
    • Reassign Accounts, Contacts, and Opportunities in response to personnel changes.
    • Grant/ remove and maintain user licenses.
    • Maintain security including sharing rules and security levels.
    • Design, Create and maintain user roles, profiles and hierarchies.
    • Monitor application storage usage and archive data as needed.

    Responsibility For the Overall Technology Support for The Product

    • Co-ordinate and deliver responsive technology support for the product in collaboration with other M&E and Technology team members. This includes setting expectations with the product teams, engaging the other Technology team members to support the product and measuring delivery.
    • Lead administration of training to existing or new users/groups.
    • Expand use of Salesforce – attend planning meetings, assist with determining if /how Salesforce can be used in new ways.
    • Communicate regularly with user base regarding new features, enhancements, and changes to the system.
    • Continually seek ways to further enhance the end-user experience.

    Process Creation, Documentation and Maintenance

    • Document BOMA processes and workflows.
    • Develop process documentation and field maps.
    • Create new processes and associated reporting.

    Data Quality, Migration and Maintenance

    • Assist with migration from older systems/processes into Salesforce.
    • Import data as appropriate.
    • Monitor and manage exception logs for back-end system integration with SFDC. Manage duplicate records.
    • Monitor and improve data quality.

    Ways Of Working

    This role is an integral part of the core product and related program support, which includes M&E and Data & Insight and hence the success of the incumbent will be measured at a team level first and then at individual level. The incumbent will therefore be expected to be a positive contributor to the product support squad as defined.

    Taking up any other additional duties and responsibilities that are assigned from time to time

    Requirements

    REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics/ statistics or Business Management.
    • 2-3 years of experience in Saleforce Administration or in a similar role.
    • Experience in Business (Requirements) Analysis; systems deployment change management processes.
    • Deep knowledge and Experience with systems development life cycle, Agile delivery methodologies, and project management.
    • Certification and experience with Salesforce development approaches including programming language (APEX) and supporting languages such as Java.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to provide quick solutions to issues.
    • Outstanding communication and collaboration skills to work in a team environment.

    PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

    • Certification in Salesforce administration.
    • Deep understanding of application development languages and approaches.
    • Understanding and experience in Agile Project Management disciplines and DevOps principles including pipeline set up, continuous development and release.
