    Pharmacy Technologist

    PHARMACY TECHNOLOGIST – VACANCY CODE (PT-25) (1 POSITION)

    This position reports to the Clinician. To support the provision of pharmaceutical services by dispensing medications, managing drug inventory, and ensuring safe, effective, and economical use of medicines in the university clinic.

    Job Purpose:

    This position exists to plan, supervise, and coordinate security shift operations where the incumbent will lead and participate in the provision of security services such as monitoring, training, and assessing the performance of the security guards. They must conduct investigations and report on all security issues in the university.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Dispense prescribed medications accurately and provide clear instructions to patients.
    • Assist in compounding, packaging, and labeling pharmaceutical products.
    • Maintain and update drug inventory records, ensuring proper storage and handling of medicines.
    • Monitor stock levels, prepare requisitions, and prevent drug shortages or expiries.
    • Counsel patients on the correct use of medications, possible side effects, and adherence.
    • Support the clinician in pharmaceutical audits and compliance with regulatory standards.
    • Ensure controlled drugs are handled in line with legal and ethical requirements.
    • Participate in health promotion and medication safety campaigns.
    • Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional ethics in pharmaceutical practice.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology from a recognized institution.
    • Registered and licensed with the Pharmacy and Poisons Board of Kenya.
    • Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in pharmacy practice (hospital, clinic, or retail setting).
    • Strong knowledge of pharmacology, inventory management, and dispensing procedures.
    • Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
    • A committed born-again evangelical Christian.

    Family Physician

    FAMILY PHYSICIAN – VACANCY CODE (FP-25) (3 POSITIONS)

    This position reports to the Clinic -in – charge. The position is offered on a Part-Time engagement. TheFamily Physician will provide comprehensive, patient-centred medical care to individuals and families of all ages, focusing on prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and overall well-being.

    Job Purpose:

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Conduct regular check-ups, immunizations, and wellness counseling.
    • Respond to medical emergencies within the university
    • Maintain accurate patient records and uphold the highest medical standards.
    • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals for holistic patient care.
    • Educate patients and their families on health conditions, medications, healthy lifestyle choices, guide them through treatment options and assist them in making informed decisions about their care.
    • Participate in team meetings and collaborative discussions aimed at enhancing patient care and optimizing clinic operations
    • Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
    • Support development and implementation of university health policies and protocols.
    • Contribute to reporting, audits, and quality assurance initiatives in the clinic.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB/MBBS) degree from a recognized institution.
    • Postgraduate training (MMed or equivalent) and experience in Family Medicine from a recognized institution.
    • Registered and licensed to practice by the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC) as a Family physician.
    • Minimum of 3–5 years’ clinical experience, preferably in a university, college, or community health setting.
    • Strong communication, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
    • Have Administrative and leadership skills competencies
    • Commitment to compassionate and ethical medical practice
    • A committed born-again evangelical Christian.

    Nurse

    NURSE – VACANCY CODE (N-25) (1 POSITION)

    This position reports to the Clinician. To provide professional nursing care, promote health, prevent illness, and assist in the treatment and rehabilitation of patients, ensuring high standards of medical care within the university clinic.

    Job Purpose:

    This position exists to plan, supervise, and coordinate security shift operations where the incumbent will lead and participate in the provision of security services such as monitoring, training, and assessing the performance of the security guards. They must conduct investigations and report on all security issues in the university.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide direct nursing care to patients, including assessment, triage, treatment, and follow-up.
    • Administer prescribed medications and treatments safely and accurately.
    • Monitor patients’ conditions, record vital signs, and promptly report any changes to the clinician.
    • Offer health education and counseling to patients and staff on preventive and promotive health practices.
    • Maintain proper documentation of patient records in line with clinic policies and medical regulations.
    • Support in immunization, family planning, wellness checks, and chronic illness management.
    • Ensure infection prevention and control practices are observed.
    • Participate in medical outreach programs, health campaigns, and wellness initiatives.
    • Uphold ethical and professional standards in patient care.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from a recognized institution.
    • Registered and licensed with the Nursing Council of Kenya.
    • Minimum of 2–3 years’ relevant experience in a busy clinical or hospital setting.
    • Knowledge of basic emergency care, counseling, and health education.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and record-keeping skills.
    • A committed born-again evangelical Christian.
