    Security Guard

    The Security Guard is the focal point for security services within the hospital premises. This role is tasked with ensuring the seamless, professional and effective provision of security for all hospital personnel, patients, visitors and individuals within the hospital premises. 

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

    1. Safeguarding of hospital personnel, patients, visitors and assets within the hospital premises.
    2. Creating an atmosphere of safe security within the hospital premises. 
    3. Advising all relevant stakeholders of possible and actual security threats within the hospital premises, and its environs.
    4. Execution of gate-keeper functions with integrity, compassion, and professionalism.
    5. Provide reports and documentation for incidents, gate logbooks for vehicles and people, etc.
    6. Ensuring timely, orderly and scheduled patrols within the hospital premises and its environs.
    7. Ensuring efficient and effective customer service for patients and visiting coming to the hospital.
    8. Compliance with the requirements of the CURE Child Protection and safeguarding policies.
    9. Maintain and manage healthcare standards in cleanliness and implementation of related hospital policies.
    10. In-charge of all quality activities in relation to this position as per the hospital standards (SAFECARE).

    Registered Nurse (RN)

    The Registered Nurse is a member of the nursing team and provides total individualized and comprehensive nursing care to patients according to nursing and doctor’s plans.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

    1. Performs nursing procedures and treatment of patients in a competent and professional manner.
    2. Provides pre-op and post op nursing care.
    3. Provide proper drug administration by administering drugs safely, aseptically and correctly.
    4. Advocates for patient and family needs, or provide emotional support for patients and their families.
    5. Performs approved therapeutic or diagnostic procedures based upon the patient's clinical status.
    6. Monitor patients vital signs, fluid intake and output, and changes in status and institute appropriate interventions.
    7. Assess the patient's psychological status and needs.
    8. Collaborate with other health care professionals to develop and revise treatment plans based on identified needs and assessment data.
    9. Ensure a clean, safe and secure environment for patients and visitors utilizing quality and risk management framework and ensuring that infection control procedures are followed.
    10. Monitors nutritional status of patients and manages accordingly.
    11. Pray with patients at different points of care and provide other spiritual support as needed.
    12. Maintains accurate, legible, clear and complete clinical documentation and patient information
    13. Provides health education to patients and caretakers upon discharge.
    14. Adheres to infection control policies and protocols.
    15. Sets up and monitors medical equipment.  Ensures that equipment is operational, calling for repairs and/or preventative maintenance.
    16. Maintains nursing supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level.

    SECONDARY DUTIES

    1. Improves skills by attending required continuing education opportunities.
    2. Willingness to travel to remote clinics associated with CURE.

    Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon

    The Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon is responsible for adhering to the quality standards of CURE as they provide hands-on surgical care to our patients. The Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon is also responsible for teaching and training on the principles and techniques of plastic and reconstructive surgical care to other physicians who may be training at the hospital and oversees the practice of surgery by these physicians. This individual is charged with facilitating improvement in the quality of care, education and administration of the plastic and reconstructive surgery department.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

    1. Prepare and review case histories and obtain data through evaluation of patients and consult with family members. 
    2. Examine patients, determine need for clinical laboratory tests and interpret examination findings and test results.
    3. Prescribe appropriate plastic and reconstructive surgical treatments based on findings and results.   
    4. Determine procedures for preoperative and postoperative care, including the administration of sedatives, prescription of diets and preparation of the patient’s operative area. 
    5. Apply surgical procedures and coordinate operations with the anesthesiologist.  
    6. Treat patients suffering from surgical shock, postoperative hemorrhage and other complications.
    7. Direct other operating room staff in procedures for preoperative and postoperative care and operating room techniques. 
    8. Instruct resident plastic and reconstructive surgeons in plastic and reconstructive surgical procedures.
    9. Accurately and thoroughly chart pertinent patient information. 
    10. Ensure the safety of patients during consultations, surgical interventions and in the postoperative environment.
    11. Assist the Medical Director in ensuring the maintenance of an accurate and adequate supply of medications and supplies.

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

    1. Medical degree (MD or DO) from a qualified, recognized medical institution.
    2. Board certification, or board eligible, preferred.
    3. Current and unrestricted medical license.
    4. Two years experience in a private or hospital practice.
    5. Experience in pediatric plastic surgery.
    6. Experience in the developing world is strongly preferred.
