    Research Midwives - 2 Posts

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Screen and enroll eligible participants in the study by ensuring proper administration of consents procedures.
    • Administer screening and enrollment questionnaire to the participants.
    • Maintain register of all randomized participants.
    • Prepare and maintain good filing system (both the study participants and source verification documents) for all enrolled participants.
    • Prepare for scheduled external audit and monitoring visits.
    • Ensure and maintain records of IMP temperature logs and monthly calibration of all study equipment.
    • Ensure data are collected accurately and resolve any discrepancies with data team.
    • Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly reports for the study coordinator.

    Job Specifications:

    • Kenya Registered Nurse Midwife or Kenya Registered Community Health Nurse.
    • Valid registration with relevant body.
    • Two (2) years of continuous clinical experience post qualification with busy maternity unit.
    • Training and experience in research and IT will have an added advantage.

    Project Assistant - 2 Posts

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Organize and facilitate capacity-building sessions, workshops, and orientation programs for students, faculty, and staff involved in mobility initiatives.
    • Support the development of knowledge products (briefs, toolkits, newsletters, digital content) on Green STEM mobility pathways.
    • Contribute to quarterly and annual progress reports.
    • Document success stories, lessons learned, and best practices.
    • Promote the visibility of the Green STEM project through effective communication and dissemination strategies.
    • Represent the Green STEM project in meetings, workshops, and events related to STEM education and sustainable development.
    • Design and coordinate mobility frameworks within UoN
    • Ensure that all mobility initiatives align with the overall objectives and timelines of the Green STEM Project.
    • Any other duties that may be allocated.

    Job Specification:

    • Bachelor’s degree in any of the following areas; Business, Project Management, Administration, Education, or related fields. Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in project management, higher education coordination, or administration.
    • Demonstrable experience in administration or project management.
    • Good understanding of the academia environment.

    ICT Officer

    Job Purpose:

    • The ICT Officer will be responsible for providing technical leadership and digital systems support for the Green STEM Project, ensuring efficient digital communication, data management, and information flow across the consortium

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Develop, maintain, and manage the Green STEM Project’s digital platforms, including the project website, online platforms and database.
    • Provide ICT support to project staff and partners within the Central Coordination Office and Local Coordination Offices.
    • Ensure reliable connectivity, data storage, and information security for all project-related information.
    • Troubleshoot technical issues and provide timely support for project-related events, workshops, and virtual meetings.
    • Maintain the Green STEM Project’s website and online communication tools to promote visibility and knowledge sharing.
    • Support the development and dissemination of digital content, including newsletters, reports, graphics, and multimedia materials.
    • Manage social media platforms and digital campaigns aligned with project communication strategies.
    • Coordinate digital data collection and storage systems to support monitoring, evaluation, and reporting.
    • Any other duties that may be allocated by the supervisor.

    Job Specification:

    • Bachelor’s degree in any of the following areas; Information Technology, Computer Science, ICT Management, or a related field.
    • At least three (3) years’ professional experience in ICT administration, digital systems management, or project ICT support.
    • Proven experience in website development, database management, and digital communication tools.
    • Strong understanding of network systems, cybersecurity, and cloud-based collaboration platforms.

    Research Associate

    Job Specification:

    • PhD degree in any of the following areas; Geography, Environmental Studies, Political Science, Sustainable Development or a related field; OR
    • A strong Master’s degree in any of the following areas; Geography, Environmental Studies, Political Science, Sustainable Development or a related field;
    • Knowledge of water challenges and key debates within the water sector;
    • Experience of undertaking high quality research, including qualitative data collection (interviews, focus groups);
    • Ability to analyse qualitative data from interviews and focus groups;
    • Desire to learn and explore new intellectual territory;
    • Ability to write high-quality research outputs (including academic papers and reports);
    • Motivation and ability to work collaboratively in an international team, including multiple disciplines, cultures, languages and environments;
    • Willingness to undertake fieldwork research in Kenya, involving travel to different parts of the country;
    • Demonstrate strong communication skills, both oral and written;
    • Motivation to work independently.
