Responsibilities:

• Develop cost-effective design layouts based on construction specifications and requirements
• Adhere to established design codes and procedures such as the national
• Analyse design issues and recommend corrective actions
• Perform civil design analysis and calculations according to project requirements
• Determine construction cost and material estimates based on civil designs
• Perform field surveys and investigations to prepare engineering drawings
• Review project plan and determine the design feasibilities and constraints
• Use the latest software and technologies to develop effective designs
• Maintain accurate design files for reference purposes
• Consider health, safety and environmental requirements when creating civil designs
• Manage design projects within given timelines and budgets
• Perform design changes and improvements according to changing project demands

• Ensure compliance with ISO quality requirements
• Assist with design and construction teams.

Skills and Qualifications

• Degree in civil engineering from a reputable institution of higher learning with 2 years of experience with Engineering design consultancy or similar
• Well-organized who knows how to use CAD software and other computer software to design civil structural elements for planned building projects
• Detail-Oriented and able to carefully analyse maps, surveys, and drawings
• Able to thrive in a team environment and have excellent communication skills
• Have good time-management skills
• Good critical thinking skills to troubleshoot potential problems with plans, designs, and sketches as well as adjustment plans as needed
• Have strong multi-tasking abilities to work on several design projects at once while maintaining focus.

• Minimum diploma in Purchasing and Supply Management, Logistics, operation management or 3 years of work experience in purchasing and knowledge in supply chain and logistics in a busy environment

Job Summary 

• Negotiating prices with suppliers.
• Ordering and buying from suppliers.
• Sourcing for new suppliers and/ or sub contractors.
• Producing purchase orders and sending them to the relevant suppliers.- Must check for accuracy, completeness and clarity of information before obtaining approval of the purchase order.
• Reviewing supplier terms and prices regularly.
• Ensuring timely delivery of goods to the company premises.
• Sending out RFQ’s to suppliers once a material request has been issued. Make a comprehensive spreadsheet for the said item with all details including product specification, price, brand, payment terms, lead time etc for the relevant authorities to make final decision on choice of supplier.
• Assist the procurement manager in maintaining current and up to date procurement documents and manuals. 
• Maintaining petty cash and giving a total account of small purchases on a monthly basis.
• Coordinate with suppliers to confirm the right materials needed. Obtaining samples whenever necessary.
• Ensure all materials arriving in the premises have been registered accordingly in the stock system.
• Maintain records to ensure that procurement process, decision and agreements are accurately documented for accountability and ease of reference.
• Assist with research into alternative products that may prove to be more cost-efficient.
• Assist with the reconciliation of invoices against delivery notes and purchase orders.
• Opening supplier accounts in the system and documenting all relevant information.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-time HANDS-ON site supervision,
• Effectively allocate labour, equipment, materials and artisans to maximize productivity, and safety and minimize deficiencies.
• Effectively understand the project schedule to ensure deadlines are met on time.
• Communicate scope of work requirements to artisans, review production, and quality and ensure implementation.
• Quantify and track all materials inclusive of ordering, inspecting and verifying shipments from suppliers.
• Calculate, monitor and track all materials required for each project ensuring no overruns.
• Correspond with the project management team regarding all adjustments as required, ensuring any materials are ordered in advance in order to meet deadlines.
• Conduct daily toolbox talks for his team.
• Communicate and administer all Safety policies and conduct site safety meetings.
• Resolve day to day field personnel issues and provide incident reports for head office files.
• Other Assignments as required.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 10 years’ experience as a construction finishing supervisor.
• Minimum Diploma in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management
