    Digital Products and Experience Lead – Africa Digital Hub

    Role responsibilities   

    • You will be a champion of consumer experience. You will ensure that websites are used at all levels of the consumer path to purchase, and that the content present on these websites is fit for purpose. 
    • You will use your knowledge to set a standard for user experience (UX) on our websites from landing on a homepage, browsing a product page to booking their distillery visit. 
    • In your thinking around best-in-class user experience you will implement user journeys on the websites that reduce abandon basket, consumer churn and ultimately increase website revenue. 
    • You will implement a sign-up experience that is seamless and inviting for users. 
    • You will manage the regular technical updates on market websites that are essential to win in organic and paid search – this includes the correct naming conventions, website structure, indexing and more. 
    • You will manage the multiple agencies required to enact technical changes on the websites, clearly assigning roles and responsibilities to the different stakeholders. 
    • You will plot all of Diageo’s websites into a clear ecosystem to understand where there are cross-over / redundancies and where there are gaps / opportunities and reduce the complexity of making changes on websites and add agility to the process of keeping our websites best in class with regards to content and technical updates. 
    • You will be an advocate of compliant website management – ensuring that the best practices on age-gating, privacy policies and data collection are present across all of Diageo’s websites. 
    • Effectively tag our websites so that our media agencies and insights teams may harvest learnings from our owned properties and use actions that take place on our websites in our digital performance media. 

    Qualifications, Knowledge, and Experience 

    • Educated to a graduate/university level. 
    • 10 years in digital with experience in UX/Websites, creative and product management  or related field. 
    • Technical SEO experience – you understand that Google adverts are only as good as the landing pages where they are sent to and know how to implement technical audits to improve the structure of the site. 
    • A subject matter expert on websites. You understand UX (User Experience), conversation rate optimization, bounce rates and more. 
    • You have strong working knowledge of CDP and CRM systems and know how to get the most of these technologies. 
    • Experience with Analytics, content management and privacy consent. 
    • You let the data do the talking. You understand how to make sense of Google Analytics and other tools to understand how consumers with our websites and make insight-driven tools. 
    • You have technical expertise in website software and infrastructure and can discuss these topics comfortably.  
    • You understand that websites require multiple disciplines working together; creative, brand, technical, content and development. You are a collaborator that can bring all those disciplines together working in the same direction.

    Internal Engagement & Communications Manager

    Purpose of Role & Leadership Responsibilities

    The Internal Engagement and Communications Manager is responsible for driving engagement through effective communication in partnership with the Corporate Relations Director, Head of Communications, Human Resource, and members of Senior Leadership team to drive business strategy and create impact.

    This role holder does not have direct reports however they work in partnership with PR Agencies.

    Role Responsibilities:

    • Drive execution of the employee communications strategy and plan that directly supports the business strategy, vision and values and uses a range of appropriate tools and is measurable
    • Partner with the Head of Communications in driving communication initiatives in line with plan e.g. weekly newsletter, leadership communications, project communications
    • Executing plans for the design, writing and production of external communications materials, including brochures, memos, newsletters, etc.  
    • Ensure optimal partnership with the PR agencies
    • Monitoring communication activities in order to realize the desired uniform and integral positioning of the company
    • Communication excellence through the development and innovation of ways to engage business internal 
    • Manage a robust and integrated employee communications forum to facilitate sharing of best practice, cross-functional working and management of timely corporate and brand communication(s)
    • Ensure message consistency and adoption of communication principles through building relationships with all key functions and audiences and coaching of Senior Leadership Team and Leadership Team.
    • Collaborate with HR to drive employee engagement.

    Qualifications and Experience Required

    • Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Journalism or PR.

    Experience / skills required:

    • 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to influence multiple stakeholders through compelling communication
    • Proven track record of managing communication’s issues in a sensitive / controversial environment.
    • Proven track record in communications and communication strategy development.
    • Build relationships with a diverse range of internal and external partners and stakeholders
    • Work flexibly and respond with agility to unforeseen challenges / opportunities at short notice

    Finance Analyst - Marketing

    Role Responsibilities:

    • Drive management of over close to Kes 8b Kenya Breweries marketing and advertising investment.
    • Support in formulation of marketing business plans to ensure alignment to overall strategic objectives.
    • Own and drive planning and forecasting of brand budgets and translate activity calendars into detailed financial plans
    • In collaboration with marketing leadership teams drive allocation of advertising budget to various spend items and priorities
    • Handle queries relating to advertising and promotions across the organization
    • Support timely and accurate financial reporting of advertising spend
    • Partner with the Marketing leadership teams to drive and monitor efficiency on spend in line with Global and local guidelines
    • Ensure all activity costs are accurately captured by internal orders and the same do not surpass the budgets.
    • Spearhead strategic brand investment using bespoke business tool to ensure both short term and long-term returns.
    • Finance lead for strategic marketing projects

    Experience / skills required:

    • Degree level with strong academic record
    • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in similar roles. 
    • CPA qualification
    • FMCG and SAP Systems experience
