Key Responsibilities

• Teaching and research (Four courses per semester)
• Supervision of research projects
• Mentoring of students and academic advising
• Setting and marking assignments, tests and examinations
• Assisting in smooth running of department
• Providing leadership to the other departmental members

Qualifications and skills

• PhD or equivalent degree qualification in Nursing (Medical/Surgical) or related field from recognized University
• At least three (3) years of teaching/research experience at the University level as Tutorial Fellow
• Be registered by nursing council of Kenya
• Must have a minimum of 24 publication points since appointment as Tutorial fellow, of which at least 16 should be from refereed journal papers

Key Responsibilities    

• Directs, manages and evaluates student learning in clinical setting/Hospital
• Evaluates the students development of clinical reasoning skills
• Provides feedback to the lead faculty regarding the clinical settings
• Collaborates with the Hospital Unit Manager and Staff
• Any other duty assigned by the Dean of School or University Authority

Qualifications and skills    

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
• Two (2) years working experience.
• Registered by Nursing Council of Kenya
