    Manager Engineering (Mechanical)

    Qualifications

    1. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or any other relevant and equivalent qualification from a recognized university.
    2. Master’s degree in any of the Engineering disciplines or any other relevant and equivalent qualification from an institution recognized by the institute of Engineers ofKenya
    3. Registration by the Engineer’s Registration Board of Kenya or its equivalent.
    4. Professional registration (Engineers Board of Kenya or its Equivalent)
    5. Current valid annual practicing license from the Engineer’s Registration Board of Kenya.
    6. Corporate Membership with the Institution of Engineers of Kenya (IEK).
    7. Proficiency in computer applications.
    8. A minimum period of Eight (8) years relevant work with at least three (3) years’ experience in a supervisory capacity
    9. Complied the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya, (2010)

    Responsibilities

    1. Participate in the development, review and implementation of the departmental strategic plan and policies;
    2. Formulate departmental work plans and budgets for approval;
    3. Develop inventory for all Hospital equipments, plants and infrastructure;
    4. Implement engineering and professional policies and guidelines relating to engineering practice;
    5. Participate in conducting an engineering and operational research;
    6. Coordinate capacity development including guiding, training, mentoring and coaching of staff ;
    7. Coordinate committees as assigned by Director facilities and Service or other appointing authority;
    8. Formulate a replacement and renovation plan for hospital equipments, plants and infrastructure.
    9. Participate in development of technical specifications and bill of quantities for all engineering infrastructure, equipments and projects
    10. Coordinationof submission of all monthly, quarterly and annual reports for the Division;
    11. Ensuring effective utilization of financial resources in Engineering department;
    12. Participate in development of procurement plan/estimates
    13. Oversee implementation of procurement plans for engineering and related commodities
    14. Identify procurement needs of thedepartment and participate in tendering processes;

    Senior Superintending Engineer (Electrical)

    Qualifications

    1. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or any other relevant and equivalent qualification from a recognized university.
    2. Registration by the Engineer’s Registration Board of Kenya or its equivalent.

    Therapy Radiographer

    Qualifications

    1. Bachelor of Science Degree in Therapy Radiography or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
    2. Certificate of registration from a relevant professional body.
    3. Proficiency in computer applications.
    4. Complied the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya, (2010)

    Responsibilities

    1. Receiving and identifying patients for Radiotherapy planning and therapeutic procedures:
    2. Ensure good customer service by verifying and maintaining information related to patients in addition to resolution of customer complaints, caring and counselling patients and their guardians before, during and after Radiotherapy procedures;
    3. Performing conventional and Ct simulation techniques in Radiotherapy;
    4. Performing Radiotherapy treatment procedures in addition to verification imaging prior to and during Radiotherapy treatment;
    5. Performing 3D Radiotherapy treatment plans;
    6. Consulting with the Radiation Oncologist on sustainability of the treatment plans delivered before approval;
    7. Performing mould and fabrication techniques;
    8. Performing imaging for Brachytherapy procedures and assist the Radiation Oncologist during Brachytherapy application;.
    9. Implementing daily and weekly quality assurance programs in the department in relation to Radiotherapy equipment and their accessories, in addition to recording of incident reports and machine error logs of all Radiotherapy equipments;
    10. Maintaining records of Radiotherapy accessories and requisition of needed Radiotherapy commodities for daily operations;
    11. Participating in clinical research, teaching, health planning and policy
    12. Participating in continuous professional education and Development activities within the department, in addition to assisting in training, evaluation and supervision of students.

    Medical Specialist (Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery)

    Qualifications

    1. Master’s degree in Surgery or equivalent qualification from an institution recognized by the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council.
    2. Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) from an institution recognized by the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council.

    Medical Physicist

    Job Purpose

    The officer will be responsible to the Senior Medical Physicist in effective provision of quality Medical Physicist services in the Hospital.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    1. Treatment planning of cancer patients for external beam and brachytherapy ;
    2. Train and guide other health workers in a Radiation facility on safe use of ionizing radiation:
    3. Calculation and verification of treatment dose before treatment;
    4. Perform quality control tests for all the irradiating devices and materials used in Radiotherapy, Diagnostic Radiology and and Nuclear Medicine;
    5. Complying with Radiation and Radiological protection Rules and Regulations;
    6. Acquiring data for treatment plans; and
    7. Optimizing usage of equipment and consumables

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Bachelor of Science degree in Physics or Engineering, Medical Physics/Health Physics or its equivalent from a recognized institution
    • Certificate of Registration by a relevant professional body
    • Proficiency in Computer Applications
    • Complied the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya, (2010).
