    Community Oral Health Officer

    Job Description

    Reports to:    Clinical Lead
    Responsible for:    Dental Assistant
    Collaborates with:    Clinical Team and other staff

    Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Examine patients’ teeth and mouth.
    • Assess dental condition and needs of patients using patient screening and monitoring procedures.
    • Analyze x-rays and evaluate dental needs as necessary including medical history review and dental charting.
    • Take, develop and mount radiographs as well as trace radiographs required for corrective treatment
    • Undertake general treatment and care for teeth and tissue problems using specified equipment and tools and established dental hygienist procedures.
    • Clean teeth using brushes, and polishers to remove plaque and stains ensuring that sterile conditions are maintained
    • Fill in cavities, rebuild broken teeth, replace missing teeth, and remove unnecessary or severely damaged teeth.
    • Treat and help to prevent gum disease.
    • Provide instruction on dental care and write prescriptions for patients
    • Document patient dental history and/or chief complaints and/or observations
    • Supervise staff and clinic processes
    • Book patients for dentists’ review

    Job Requirements

    • Minimum Qualification: Diploma in Community Health
    • Experience: Minimum of 8 (eight) years’ experience in a busy hospital.
    • Registered as a Community Oral Health Officer with the regulatory body.
    • Valid Practicing License.
    • Analytical and inquisitive, with excellent attention to detail
    • Able and willing to work outside normal hours when necessary

    Pharmacy Technologist

    Job Description

    Reports to: Head of Clinical Services

    Responsibilities

    • Scrutinizes Patient Treatment Sheets and Prescriptions for suitability of prescribed drugs in relation to dosing accuracy, drug interaction and route of administration
    • Provide drug information to patients, doctors, nurses and other medical staff.
    • Timely and accurate posting dispensed drugs for billing purposes.
    • Assist the Pharmacy in-charge in placing orders for stock replenishment to the Pharmacy Store to maintain optimal stock levels
    • Participates in regular drug expiry monitoring in the pharmacy to identify and document items with expiry of less than the required.
    • Compounding, re-packaging and dilutions of drugs according to laid down guidelines.
    • Counsel patients appropriately to ensure adherence to drug therapy.
    • Participate in stock take exercise and ensure timely explanation of stock variances.
    • Entering prescriptions orders into the computer and making labels appropriately
    • Assist in preparing and sending periodic management reports.
    • Document adverse drug reactions on patients.
    • Participate in internal and external audits
    • Receiving drugs and verifying against the Stock transfer printout
    • Shelving of items appropriately
    • Performing stock counts and stock movement analysis

    Qualifications

    • A Diploma in Pharmacy from a recognized Institution.
    • Registered with the Pharmaceutical and Poisons Board of Kenya.
    • Excellent Public Relations and Communication skills.
    • Aptitude in problem-solving and decision-making.
    • Good knowledge of drug administration and health & safety guidelines.

    Accountant

    Job Description

    Reports to:    Administrator

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Auditing financial documents and procedures
    • Reconciling bank statements and calculating tax payments and returns
    • Tracking payments to internal and external stakeholders
    • Preparing budget forecasts
    • Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings
    • Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements
    • Report on the company’s financial health and liquidity
    • Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary
    • Comply with financial policies and regulations
    • Audit financial transactions and documents
    • Any other tasks as may be directed by the Management

    Requirements

    • 3 years’ experience in a busy office
    • Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures
    • Hands-on experience with accounting software like Quickbooks
    • Advanced MS Excel skills
    • Experience with general ledger functions
    • Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
    • BSc in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree from a reputable University
    • Additional certification (CPA or CMA) is a plus.
