Accounts Assistant at Swinton Consulting Ltd

Our client Lainisha Sacco (located in Mwea, Kirinyaga County) is recruiting for the position of Accounts Assistant. The details are as follows:

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Ensure accurate and timely record keeping
2. Check and reconcile postings in the general ledgers
3. Accurate maintenance of Members’ Personal Accounts
4. Raise payment vouchers and invoices
5. Full accountability on petty cash management
6. Treasury custodian /alternate teller cash confirmation officer
7. Responsible for Sacco premises rent collection and reconciliation.
8. Post loan disbursements
9. Effecting of fully authorized account transfers
10. Practice transparency, accountability and effective use of financial resources and assets
11. Assist in design and formulation of Sacco products and services
12. Assist in replenishment of cash from bank
13. Responsible for stationery stock movement
14. Member of staff procurement committee
15. Market and cross-sell the Sacco products and services
16. Any other duty as may be assigned from time to time.

Minimum Qualifications 

1. CPA Part 2 Mandatory
2. Degree or diploma in a business-related field an added advantage
3. Minimum 1 year experience in a related environment
4. Computer proficiency in computer application, especially in accounting packages and systems
5. Knowledge of various Sacco software systems an added advantage
