    Chogoria hospital was started by the Scottish missionaries back in 1922 with the help of Mr and Mrs. Irvine being in charge. Chogoria hospital is on a side-road that branches off Embu - Meru highway about 2km from the highway. Chogoria hospital was built in a serene environment around 200km north of Nairobi city.     Nursing Tutor

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Provide theoretical and clinical instruction to students to ensure acquisition of all domain of competency
    • Evaluate academic progress of students, record findings and devise action plans where necessary.
    • Develop and review curriculum in line with Nursing Council requirements
    • Conduct student evaluation (theory and practical) to monitor academic progress.
    • Maintain clinical competency by regular clinical practice and take responsibility for own professional development.
    • Participate in continuous quality improvement, clinical audit and research.
    • Ensure proper management of consumables to maximize efficiency and cost control.
    • Manage the relationship with all key stakeholders both internally and externally and maintain appropriate communication with them.
    • Perform any other duty that may be assigned by the supervisor or the Hospital Management in the best interest of the institution

    Academic and professional Qualifications for the Position

    • Minimum of BSC. Nursing/ DAN
    • Must be registered by the Nursing Council Kenya
    • Current & up to date practicing license from the Nursing Council of Kenya
    • A high degree of computer literacy and demonstrated ability to integrate technology into the learning environment and teaching methodology
    • Research and development skills an advantage
    • Have current knowledge of industry practices, trends and issues (specific knowledge with regards to healthcare services and related education)
    • Being registered with CDAC/TVETA will be an added advantage 

    Soft Skills required for the positions

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a demonstrated competency to interact with people at all levels of the organization.

    Registered Clinical Officer – Oncology

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Monitor cancer diagnosed patients and prescribe the required medication.
    • Establish a compassionate environment by providing clinical care services, emotional psychological and spiritual support to patients, friends and families.
    • Promotes patients independence by establishing patient care goals, teaching patients, friends and family  to understand medications and self care skills
    • Develop patient care plans
    • Develop system management protocols 

    Required Academic and Professional Qualifications

    • Must have a Diploma in Clinical medicine and surgery from a recognized institution
    • Must have a Higher Diploma in Clinical Oncology from a recognized institution
    • Must be registered by the Clinical Officers Council and the license should be valid.
    • Training in ACLS AND ATLS will be an added advantage.
    • Over 1 year work experience an added advantage
    • Have a certificate in any computer application from a recognized institution

    Internal Auditor

    Duties & Responsibilities.

    • Preparation of annual Audit plans for hospital activities
    • Preparation of periodic Internal Audit reports
    • Reviewing of Internal controls and making recommendations to the Director for Board approval
    • Follow up of external Auditors recommendations
    • Providing support and guidelines to management on how to handle new opportunities
    • Perform independent audits within the Hospital concentrating on high risk areas.
    • Assess the systems laid down to ensure that they are compliant with statutory regulations
    • Identify problems and recommend remedial actions and best practices
    • Issuing reports on findings of audits which highlight issues and potential impacts on business
    • Ensure timely implementation of audit recommendations and corrective actions
    • Carry out account and record reconciliations and other related records in operations and  finance
    • Carry out impromptu physical cash verifications
    • Conducting regular physical stock verifications
    • Conducting any other audit assignments as directed by Management

    Minimum Qualifications and Skills.

    • Minimum Business related degree preferably B.Com , Business Administration or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
    • CPA (K) and a member of professional body
    • Sound commercial knowledge of Hospital operations and processes
    • Experience in preparing audit reports an added advantage
    • Good computer and communication skills
