Detailed Description 

Reporting to the Manager -Enterprise Service Activation the role holder will be responsible for ensuring quality and speedy deployment of enterprise solutions. The Holder will be responsible for the delivery of the promise of the business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement various enterprise solution components in line with designed solution.
• Ensuring that deployed solution meets and exceeds the set quality benchmarks.
• Work closely with the Solution Architect team to develop LLD solution templates.
• Responsible for the technical leadership and quality of the delivered solutions.
• Participate in project management and communication at all stages of deployment.
• Responsible for identifying, establishing, and managing Proof of Concept (POC), Proof of Value and/or Benchmark engagements, in the customer environment.
• Participate in the solution design validation process.
• Responsible for the “as-built” documentation of deployed solutions
• Responsible for the handover deployed solution to the support team to ensure seamless support.
• Continuously work with other teams to streamline internal process to improve service delivery.
• Provide support to the EBU Automation Program by assisting in the development/reviewing of User Requirement Specifications
• Provide inputs in the innovation of the new products and customization of existing products to fit customer business requirement. 
• Participate in innovation to improve delivered products and services and to explore new technologies and their applications in the enterprise space including RFP’s technical evaluations.
• Liaise with other sections/departments in the delivery of services and projects as well as maintain good working relations between the team and all stakeholders.
• Develop reusable customer solution design implementation templates in the form of standard customer deliverables.
• Lead solution design reviews and network requirements for the Low Level Design.
• Continuous research and training to improve speed, effectiveness and quality of deployment.
• Feedback and improvement of designed solutions

Qualifications

• Degree in an Engineering related discipline. Computer Science, Telecoms, IT, Electrical, etc. 
• Over 4 years’ experience in deployment and integration of large enterprise or service provider networks. 
• Network engineering certifications, CCNA, CCNP, Linux, Cloud, Security, IoT. 
• Team Player and Strong relationship building skills. 
• Project Management and collaboration skills. 
• Sound product knowledge of the business’ existing product portfolio
• Quality of deployed solutions e.g. % of the solutions rebound <2%
• Emerging technologies program participation. IOT, Cloud, Cybersecurity.
• Certifications on Enterprise Networking skills, Digital IT entry level programs, AI, Software. etc

Job Description

The role is a  Fixed term contract for 2 years, and will be reporting to the Manager-Foundations Finance. 

The role purpose is to:

• Ensure the implementation of sound financial management practices for the Safaricom and M-PESA Foundations.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness in the management of contracts and grants to grantees of the Foundations.
• Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for the Foundations management, trustees.
• Ensure due diligence regarding financial management requirements of grantees at all levels of the project cycle. 
• Ensure that grant agreements and addenda are completed in a timely and accurate manner and that they comply with the Foundations policies, terms, and conditions.
• Provide technical support in financial management to grantees and stakeholders as may be required.

Responsibilities

Key accountabilities and decision ownership: 

• Ensure awareness of financial policies and procedures by Foundation staff and Foundation partners.
• Provide ongoing feedback on mechanisms to improve financial management (Foundation and grants) through continuous review of processes and feedback from project partners and stakeholders.
• Based on the outcomes of the Trustees Meetings, develop, and update a commitment and disbursement schedule for all approved projects. 
• Prepare a financial analysis on the projects funded per category and payments made and undertake a critical analysis of disbursement status and forecasts and make recommendations to ensure appropriate fund management. 
• Provide inputs for internal and external progress and financial reports. 
• Ensure that project accounts are properly reconciled during preparation for payments. 
• Advise on the availability of funds and details of payments and funds transfers made. 
• Coordinate raising of LPO’s for all expenses for the foundation in the Oracle system and follow up on the payments facilitation to the suppliers.
• Ensure monthly reconciliation of all of the foundations General Ledger accounts and sub accounts between the cash book and bank accounts is completed. 
• Liaise with the banks for any issues relating to the bank accounts held by the Foundations.
• Monitor and revise the status of the Foundations opex budgets ensuring correct postings.
• Prepare all schedules required for audit purposes and liaise with both internal and external auditors to facilitate the audit process.
• Provide inputs into project audit processes (where applicable), review reports and provide inputs on how to address any audit issues.
• Ensure all proper checks are done to all the approved projects before disbursing funds for the projects, including review and cross checking of all statutory requirements.
• Prepare grant agreements as required, paying particular attention to any special conditions or requirements.
• In collaboration with the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer, maintain a database for reporting schedules and ensure timely reporting by proactive database management for half year, annual or other reports as required.
• Review all half year and annual reports received from partners, provide written feedback to partners, and offer solutions to address areas that may need technical support. 
• Make follow up calls to partners or conduct visits (if required) to grantees to address any concerns with regards to their financial reporting.
• Review reports received (Construction project managers, Project champion, Pamoja, Usamaria, Foundation staff, projects) to ensure that projects are progressing well before the disbursement of funds.
• Ensure timely disbursement of funds to partners and acknowledgement of receipt of the same.
• Work with the Supply Chain department for procurement of equipment or services to be made by the foundation.
• Work with the Legal Department to address any queries that may arise from Foundations contracts.

Qualifications

• Bachelors’ degree in a business-related field e.g. Commerce or Economics from a recognized university. 
• Qualified Accountant with CPA (K)/ACCA/CIMA/ACA or equivalent will be desirable.
• At least two years’ work experience in project accounting and reporting. 
• Working with a computerized accounting system preferably with Oracle application.

Job Description

The Cyber Security Architect role is responsible for defining, analyzing and periodically reviewing the cyber security strategy and roadmap based on the ever-evolving threat landscape and ensure risks identified are adequately mitigated. He/she will also architect and design cyber security systems in line with best practices to ensure they meet all requirements including adequate security, capacity and performance.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Cyber Security Strategy & Design, the successful candidate will lend support in ensuring all new and existing systems/products/services are designed and implemented in a secure manner to avoid or mitigate any risks/security threats encountered.

Job Responsibilities 

• Define, analyze and periodically review the cyber security strategy and roadmap based on the evolving threat landscape and ensure risks identified are mitigated
• Architect and design cyber security systems in line with best practices to ensure they meet user requirements including adequate security, capacity and performance.
• Define cyber security requirements and acceptance criteria for new systems
• Draft and evaluate RFIs/RFPs
• Liaise with Supply Chain in the procurement process
• Do the technical evaluations and PoCs (Ops team should also be involved in this)
• Select the best solution and present to the investment governance board
• Ensure all vendors have up-to-date contracts (contract management)
• Implement, Test, Deploy and Commission new systems                         
• Ensure proper change management and system handover processes are followed
• Recommend major upgrades where required and liaise with the operations team when doing the upgrades especially if it affects the design/architecture of the system
• Ensure all security technology and processes implemented are continually improved to maximize on their returns/benefits
• Manage all aspects of projects and vendor related issues in line with best practices
• Define metrics and report periodically that clearly demonstrate return on security investment (ROSI)
• Conduct research and development on new areas in security and present on them for sensitization and knowledge transfer to other team members/staff                                               
• Ensure all security systems implemented have high availability and disaster recovery in accordance with best practices

Qualifications 

• Degree in Information Security/Computer Science/Information Technology or other relevant Technical Degree
• Information security certifications e.g. CISSP, CISM, CISA, Comptia Security+
• Advanced Networking certifications e.g. CCNA, CCNP, Comptia Network+
• Certifications in Microsoft Windows and Linux/Unix Operating Systems e.g. Redhat, LPI, Comptia Linux+
• Demonstrate competency in the implementation and administration of various security tools e.g. Firewalls, Intrusion Prevention systems, Web application firewalls, Anti-DDOS, Antivirus, DLP etc

Skills and Experience

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in implementing and administering Cyber Security tools – e.g. Firewalls, Intrusion Prevent Systems, Web Application Firewalls, Content Filters, Endpoint protection, Data Leakage Prevention etc…
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in IT Networks e.g.  Cisco, Fortinet, Checkpoint, Huawei etc
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience with various Operating Systems e.g. Windows, Linux, Unix etc
• Working knowledge of web technologies e.g. cPanel, Apache, PHP, Joomla, Wordpress and ASP will be an added advantage
• Working knowledge of databases e.g. Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL, Postgress SQL will be an added advantage
• Working knowledge of Virtualization Technologies e.g. VMWare, Openshift, Open Stack will be an added advantage
• Working knowledge and experience in DevOps and Microservices technologies i.e. Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Gitlab/Github etc… will be an added advantage
• Working knowledge of Mobile and GSM technologies e.g. Android, IOS, 2G, 3G, LTE, USSD etc… will be an added advantage
