    Workshop Technician

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Welding, repair, rebuilding, and fabrication of aluminum, cast-iron, stainless steel, and mild steel products.
    • Sheet metal fabrication.
    • Drawing and designing sheet metal and structural drawings.
    • Interpreting engineering drawings.
    • Handling workshop processes such as fabrication, precision fitting, machining, and pipe fitting.
    • Operation, repair, and maintenance of welding machines, including TIG, MIG, ARC, gas welding and cutting sets, etc.
    • Precise use of metal cutting machines like laser cutting, water jet, plasma cutting, and shearing machines.
    • Operation of CNC welding and cutting machines.
    • Surface preparation and coating of metals, including powder coating and zinc metalizing.
    • Heat treatment of metals.
    • Repair of molds, dies, jigs, formers, and fixtures.
    • Planning and execution of work, including leading a team.

    Job Qualifications & Experience:

    • Holder of a diploma in Mechanical Engineering (production option) from a reputable institution or final craft certificate with demonstrated experience in a busy workshop.
    • Over 5 years of continuous and detailed experience in welding, including TIG, MIG, ARC, and gas welding, with a focus on aluminum, cast-iron, alloys, stainless steel, and other materials.
    • Conversant with using hot work permits, JSA, and all applicable occupational health and safety procedures.
    • Conversant with fire safety.
    • Conversant with all advanced welding tools and methodologies.
    • Conversant with all workshop processes.

    Laboratory Technician-Wote Makueni

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Coordinate laboratory performance testing using samples provided by commercial agencies.
    • Oversee the collection of samples and analyze product quality compliance before receiving and storing them.
    • Prepare reports, compile and maintain records on product quality status, tests, and inspections conducted.
    • Perform testing in accordance with the company’s Quality Control System.
    • Compose, review, and follow up on external communications with the laboratory service provider.
    • Provide recommendations on procedures, standards, and equipment to maintain product quality.
    • Ensure adherence to correct quality processes and provide necessary training when required.
    • Conduct monthly inventory of chemicals, reagents, solutions, and other laboratory supplies and equipment.
    • Clean, sterilize, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment and apparatus.
    • Assist the Production Supervisor with operational activities, ensuring production requirements are met.
    • Ensure compliance with safe work practices and procedures.
    • Analyze test data and take corrective actions to prevent non-conforming products.
    • Assist in documentation and data control.
    • Ensure care and maintenance of testing equipment, including calibration.
    • Manage factory permits, compliance, and certification.
    • Manage audits and ensure general compliance with procedures and systems related to Agri-hub operations.
    • Collaborate with the health and safety committee to identify and implement safety recommendations.
    • Work closely with internal teams, including the Production team and Quality Assurance team.
    • Engage with external stakeholders such as local authorities and service suppliers, including the external laboratory provider.

    Job Qualifications & Experience:

    • BSc/Diploma in Analytical Chemistry, Process/Chemical Engineering, or a relevant field.
    • Fluent knowledge of English.
    • 3-5 years of experience in QA, preferably in a vegetable oil extraction plant.
    • Knowledge of laboratory techniques, equipment, terminology, and procedures.
    • Firefighting and HSE basic courses (preferred).
    • Project management experience.
    • Quality control and assurance expertise.

    Required Competencies:

    • Commissioning and Start-Up: Commissioning and start-up, Decommissioning.
    • Maintenance Operations: Mechanical Maintenance, Instrumentation Maintenance, Electrical Maintenance, Troubleshooting techniques knowledge.
    • HSEQ General (Generic).
    • Process Implementation & Improvement.
    • Organization Processes: Internal Standard, Site Management.
    • Supports and Technologies: Standard ISO, TQM and Quality system, Technical requirement and Standard.
    • Compliance: Local/National and International Standards and Codes, Health, Safety, Environment, Quality.
    • Strong computer skills are imperative.
    • Demonstrate accountability, a sense of ownership, resource optimization, and analytical skills.

    Seed Receiving Clerk

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Receive and coordinate incoming goods, including storage and dispatch of raw materials, in a timely and efficient manner.
    • Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe working environment at all times.
    • Check and inspect received goods, ensuring accurate quantity, type, and acceptable quality.
    • Maintain and protect all property and equipment used in the receiving process.
    • Continuously monitor and schedule work to ensure efficient operations.
    • Follow all relevant procedures, SOPs, and routines in line with company policies.
    • Prioritize health and safety, complying with instructions, policies, and procedures, and working in a safe manner.

    • Good computer skills, with working knowledge of ERP preferred.
    • Knowledge of basic stock-taking procedures.
    • Firefighting & HSE basic courses (preferred).
    • Proficiency in SAP, MRP, with 3 years of progressive experience in a manufacturing and warehousing environment.

    Weighbridge Clerk -Wote Makueni

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Efficiently complete the entry of weight slips in the weighbridge system.
    • Ensure that all deliveries have relevant documentation.
    • Accurately and promptly capture all receipt loads over the weighbridge.
    • Ensure that samples are taken and delivery is approved before allowing delivery vehicles to enter the premises.
    • Implement health, safety, and environmental practices at the weighing section to prevent accidents or near misses.
    • Control traffic at the weighbridge.
    • Work with the health and safety committee to identify risks and hazards, and implement recommended safety measures.
    • Collaborate with the production team and logistics team internally and service contractors externally.

    Job Qualifications & Experience:

    • Diploma in Procurement and Supplies Accounting or a related field.
    • 1-2 years of weighbridge experience.
    • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel and Word).
    • HSE basic courses (preferred).
    • Proficiency in SAP and progressive experience in a manufacturing and warehousing environment.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Knowledge of laboratory techniques, equipment, terminology, and procedures.
    • HSE basic courses (preferred).
    • Quality control and assurance experience.
