    Business Research Analyst

    HR/MRKT/BRA/7/24

    KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    As the Business Research Analyst, your responsibilities will:

    • Work closely with sectional heads to understand business and data requirements and provide direction.
    • Ensure that data which is required for reporting is available and in a format which can be easily consumed while overseeing accuracy and integrity of the data.
    • Participate in data design and infrastructure conversations as well as identify and coordinate data infrastructure improvements with analytics, data and software team.
    • Enable the success of the Company by supporting them in accessing, understanding, and utilizing data.
    • Ensure consistency, accuracy, and overall integrity of business metrics.
    • Develop and maintain business intelligence documentation, training materials, best practices, and overall data toolkit
    • Assist in the development and programming of data collection tools.
    • Work with research managers and investigators to implement statistical analysis plans. This will involve developing, testing, and executing statistical programs to generate descriptive statistics, conduct hypothesis tests, and create graphical representations.
    • Generate reports and visualizations to communicate research findings to both internal teams and external stakeholders.

    ACADEMIC AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Math, Statistics or Economics.
    • At least 3 years’ experience in data analysis and Business Research
    • The ability to balance priorities, clarify stakeholder requirements, pay keen attention to detail, and generally keep deliverables on schedule
    • Proficiency with Excel, PowerBi or other data visualization tools, SQL, coding platforms such as R and statistical methods (Python an added plus)
    • Ability to communicate technical details clearly and concisely to management & external stakeholders.
    • A curious mind and a passion for problem-solving, data and analytics.

    Radio Presenter and Continuity Announcer-MUUGA FM

    KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    The successful candidate will among others be able to do the following;

    • Research, plan and develop on air content, ideas and concepts in line with the station strategy and values.
    • On air presentation/continuity and acting on feedback from listeners.
    • Write broadcasting reports and execute commercial logs
    • Music research, identify and propose music that should be incorporated into the station sound.
    • Carry out outside broadcasting/Road shows and attend functions on behalf of the station.
    • Receiving briefs from clients/ marketers/ supervisor and executing accordingly.
    • Scripting, recording, packaging and producing station features
    • Creatively create and execute on air gaming elements
    • Hosting sport shows.
    • Maintain close and effective contact with sports news sources
    • Generate ideas for sports stories
    • Cross-promote the company’s online & traditional product lines
    • Conceptualize and execute online campaigns for various projects
    • Ensure all social media platforms are updated regularly
    • Advise supervisor on new trends in online tools, applications, channels, design & strategy

    Skills and Personal attribute

    • Fluent in spoken and written Ameru, English and Swahili with a radio voice & personality
    • An ear for music.
    • Able to work odd hours including weekends and holidays without supervision.
    • Must be social media savvy, innovative and creative
    • Have an understanding of Media Law and Ethics
    • Demonstrate professional approach and appearance including enthusiasm, drive, commitment, honesty, trust and loyalty
    • Keep abreast of evolving trends through continuing professional education in the area of digital platforms

    Academic and professional experience

    • Degree in journalism / mass communication or another related field from a recognized university.
    • At least 3 years’ experience as a Presenter /newsreader/reporter in a reputable radio station.
    • Must be social media savvy, innovative and creative
