Duties for the Legal Officer Job
Provide legal advice on matters relating to child protection issues and court representation for child protection cases at the CPC.
Prepare child witnesses from the CPC for hearings in court.
Watching brief in cases of defilement referred to the CPC.
Develop a capacity building plan for partners and communities on child protection issues and court representation for child protection cases for CPC.
In consultation with the project team, develop training materials for partners and community trainings on child rights.
Disseminate Information Education and Communication (IEC) materials outlining legal instruments that safeguard children and their rights to partners and communities in the CPC.

Legal Officer Job Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Law and a Diploma from the Kenya School of Law.
Must be an Advocate of the High Court in Kenya.

Duties for the Social Worker Job
Conduct home visits for social enquiries (assessment) for children/families seeking services at the CPC.
Rescue and placement of children in rescue centers and alternative family based care.
Psychosocial needs assessment and referral.
Preparation of children attending court.
Train caregivers on effective parenting both at the CPC and also during community outreach activities.

Social Worker Job Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in social Work, Sociology or Community Development.
3 years’ experience in child development work in urban and rural settings.

Duties for the Child Protection Advisor Job
Ensure the CPC is fully operational and offering services and coordinating referral of children to other services is done efficiently and effectively.
Ensure the infrastructure is child friendly and gender sensitive.
Maintain close relationship with the Department of Children Services (DCS) and other key stakeholders in Child Protection.
Support the DCS to establish a strong network of partners to support the CPC.
Conduct trainings for the staff at the CPC to ensure quality and timely services to children.
Child Protection Advisor Job Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences.
A Master’s degree in the areas mentioned and qualification in basic counseling skills is an added advantage.
At least 5 years relevant work experience in busy and dynamic organizations dealing with, Child Rights, Child Protection, Advocacy, child rights programming, child protection service delivery etc.
Experience in rights-based approaches to development including engaging with government and multilateral institutions.
Demonstrated knowledge of child protection systems in Kenya.
Demonstrated work experience working with poor and marginalized communities and specific child related programming.
Demonstrated advocacy experience at a national and county level.

Psychological Counselor Job Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in any field of counseling (Counseling Psychology, Child psychology, Family therapy etc.)
Certification in play and or art therapy.
At least 5 years’ experience in handling clients with diverse needs in a busy counseling environment.
Evidence of extensive clinical work with children and families.
Basic knowledge of child rights and child protection systems in Kenya.
Experience in conducting trainings.
Experience in group counseling and managing dynamics in group counseling.
Knowledge of the Counseling Code of Ethics (APA, BACP etc.)
Member of a Counseling Association in Kenya.
