    Senior Coordinator Social Franchise

    eporting to the Deputy Director of Programme Operations, the purpose of this role is to provide leadership and oversight of the successful delivery of a strategic channel of work by delivering CYPs and Safe Abortion services through MSK's Amua Social Franchise Programming.

    Using their experience of community level service delivery, the post holder will lead strategic initiatives to improve the performance of the channel. They will lead analysis of channel and team performance and in planning for activities. The post holder will work in close liaison with Outreach and Centre Senior Coordinators, taking prompt action on all performance issues. They will directly line manage some Social Franchise Coordinators and manage others through a deputy. They are one of four Senior Coordinators in the Programmes Department.

    The position is a member of the Senior Management leadership team of MSK whose members strongly reflect MSK’s values in their behavior.

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Strategic development of the channel for increased CYPs and Safe Abortion Service Delivery

    2. Leading strategic initiatives to benefit all teams in the channel

    3. Oversight of the performance of the channel against budget and target and reporting

    Strategic development of the channel for increased CYPs

    Activities include:

    · Through Social Franchising Coordinators, identify strategic needs across the channel and create solutions for issues arising

    · Analyse and present performance trends and create long term strategies for improving performance

    · Supervise and performance manage a subset of MSK’s Social Franchising Regions

    · Contribute to writing proposals for new funding and reports for existing funding

    · Maintain a segmentation of social franchisees to target support and suggest franchisees for de-franchising as needed

    Leading strategic initiatives to benefit all teams in the channel

    Activities include:

    · Revise and approve, along with regional coordinators, all monthly Amua Leo schedules and advance requests

    · Compile and revise monthly orders for supplies and equipment

    · Work with Deputy Director, Programme Operations, to maintain a list of all vacancies and fill vacancies in a timely manner

    · Support the Voucher Coordinator in implementation of voucher programmes

    · Lead on activities related to the achievement of the AHME programme, including managing the Health Financing Team

    Strategic oversight of the performance of the channel against budget and target and reporting

    Activities include:

    · Regular collation and reporting on progress other channels, the department and CMT

    · Create, agree and communicate proposals for action to rectify any performance issues

    · Implement interventions to reduce opportunities for fraud, both in expenditure and service numbers

    Knowledge skills and Attitudes

    Qualifications:

    · Bachelor’s degree in relevant field for example in Medicine, Nursing, Public Health, Project Management

    · Masters degree is desirable

    · Project Cycle management training desirable

    · More than one Kenyan language desirable

    · Knowledge of clinical procedures and minimum standards essential

    Skills/Experience:

    · Experience and knowledge of health financing or Kenyan health sector

    · Minimum 7 years working experience

    · Clear ability to identify and set targets

    · Budget management

    · Excellent understanding of donor contract requirements

    · Demonstrated ability in facilitating capacity development in more junior staff

    · Excellent communicator to others on key strategic issues

    Procurement Assistant

    The purpose of this role is to manage the process of booking hotels for MSK staff in the field.

    Strategic Purpose of the Corporate Services Unit: Logistical, admin and HR support to all MSK staff and their work to ensure that it is supported to realise efficiencies, compliance and quality.

    Key Responsibilities

    Key responsibilities

    Manges the hotel booking process. Activities include:

    · Processes reservations by mail, telephone or central reservation systems.

    · Controls costs and to ensure no-shows are eliminated.

    · Contributes to initiatives to improve staff satisfaction with hotels stayed at.

    · Processes reservations from other departments as they come and give feedback within reasonable time.

    · Knows the credit policy of the hotels to avoid problems with bookings.

    · Creates and maintains reservation records by date of booking.

    · Prepares letters of confirmation, purchase orders and communicates reservation information to the staff and the hotel.

    · Processes cancellations and modifications and promptly relays this information to the concerned staff.

    · Understands the MSK hotel booking process and other related information to guarantee reservations and no-shows.

    · Handles daily correspondence. Responds promptly to enquiries and makes reservations accordingly.

    · Makes sure that files are kept up to date.

    · Create and maintain booking records for audit purposes.

    · Timely process all hotel payment claims on team and avoid payment backlog.

    · Any other duty as maybe assigned by the supervisor from time to time.

    Knowledge, skills and attitudes

    Qualifications:

    · Relevant diploma

    Experience:

    · Minimum one year work experience

    Skills:

    · Good communication skills

    · Good IT skills. Fully conversant with Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word

    · Ability to work with suppliers and build long term competitive supply relationships

    · Good organisational skills

    · Ability to work with minimum supervision.
