Senior Infrastructure Engineer at Huawei Technologies

Job responsibilties:

1.   Participate in pre-sales technical exchanges and bidding scheme development in the IT projects;
2.   Responsible for cloud system integration design and implementation;
3.   Responsible for disaster recovery and backup solution design and implementation;
4.   Responsible for server and storage system integration;
5.   Responsible for the project cost analysis and budgeting.

Requirements:

1.   Bachelor or above degree in engineering field, be good at English, able to use English as a daily language.
2.   5 years + IT Infrastructure work experience with delivery or integration
3. Familiar with one or more of below IT technology, have ability to design related solution and deploy.

• Typical x86 server and storage system integration
• Virtualization, cloud solution. 
• Typical disaster recovery and backup solution

4. Good communication skills and team work characteristics, maintaining good relationships with customers, and be logical and well organized. 

5. Team leader is preferred.
6. Diagnosing difficult problems that normal engineer cannot deal with and report back to customers and project team.
7. Familiar with Huawei IT products or have HP/IBM/VMware integration work experience is advantageous.

8. Some travel is expected 

Role is based in Nairobi, Kenya. Relocation will not be considered.
