    Graphic Designer

    Duties of the Graphic Designer

    • To prepare art work to be accomplished by gathering information and materials.
    • To plan concept by studying information and materials.
    • To illustrate concept by designing rough layout of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetic concepts.
    • To obtain approval of concept by submitting rough layout for approval.
    • To prepare finished copy and art by operating typesetting, printing, and similar equipment.
    • To prepare the final layout by marking and pasting up finished copy and art
    • To undertake projects by coordinating with outside agencies, art services, printers, etc.
    • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
    • Liaising with clients to determine their requirements and budget
    • Managing client proposals from typesetting through to design, print and production
    • Working with clients, briefing and advising them with regard to design style, format, print production and timescales
    • Reviewing final layouts and suggesting improvements if required

    • Customer Focus, Flexibility and organisational skills.
    • Accuracy and attention to detail, Layout Skills and Creative Services,
    • Acute Vision, Deadline-Oriented, Exceptional creativity and innovation skills
    • An understanding of the latest trends and their role within a commercial environment
    • Professional approach to time, costs and deadlines and rejection handling among others.
    • Excellent IT and Graphic Design skills, especially with design and photo-editing software.
    • A minimum of a diploma in Graphic design from recognized colleges like Kenya poly, Buru Buru Institute.
    • Professional work experience in a designing environment is highly advantageous including internships, attachment and holiday work.
