- Coordinate with the TV planning teams ensuring that the Digital Media Team is participating in all relevant editorial coverage.
- Pitch compelling stories that CCTV Africa' audiences will want to share online.
- Collaborate with TV reporters and correspondents in the field, building relationships and ensuring content relevant for digital platforms is consistently provided for the Digital Media Team.
- Ensure that breaking news and focused big news events are tweeted live and updates on CCTV Africa'ssocial media platforms in real time
- Push the promotion of CCTV Africa's programs on social media, including, Global Biz, Match Point, Talk Africa, Faces of Africa and any major special series coverage.
- Keep track of the emerging and trending stories across Africa on social media and ensure that CCTV Africa is covering them.
- Develop discussion on central African stories and issues on Social Media platforms. Thereby promoting CCTV Africa as the “go-to” source for African opinion.
- Collect feedback regarding CCTV news from our audiences and conduct polls or surveys to understand our viewers’ key concerns.
- Coordinate with Beijing and Washington DC digital media team in order to promote CCTVNEWS as a whole
