Senior System Administrator at Zetech University

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the IT Manager, the position holder will, among other duties, be responsible for:

• Performing business requirements analysis for data center planning
• Designing, developing, testing, and deploying new servers
• Managing the data center by planning and executing the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of server hardware, software, or vendor
• Documenting and managing documentation for existing and new data centers
• Documenting the planning, designing, and development phases for data center projects
• Providing end user support at the campus level
• Managing the operations and standards of computer labs
• Preparing users by designing and conducting training programs; providing references and support
• Managing physical and systems security of data and data center infrastructure
• Establishing and testing disaster recovery policies and procedures for data center systems

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

• Bachelors Degree in Information Technology or related field from a recognized university
• Professional certification in Microsoft (MCSE or MCITP), Data Center (infrastructure or architecture)
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Server, Linux, and Virtualization
• Practical knowledge of storage technologies: SAN, NAS, SAS
• Good documentation skills
• Solid understanding of data center infrastructure; hardware and software specifications
• Experience in systems administration an support in a busy environment
• Dynamic and fast learner
