    Quality Engineer

    Reporting to the Senior Manager – Network Operations the position holder will be responsible for reporting on the health, performance per cluster, per element, per service, and per individual monitoring & investigation of Network & System Parameters as per agreed KPI’s, undertake problem analysis from root cause, problem identification, recommendation & drive closure recommend on how to improve performance of Network & System Parameters to meet agreed KPI’s

    Responsibilities for the  Quality Engineer Job

    • Network Performance Monitoring
    • Engage stakeholders to define & review the Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) of Technology Elements
    • Promoting quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organization
    • Undertake monitoring & effective performance monitoring of agreed KPI’s & report the same.
    • Multi-vender Conformance & Comparison tests during implementation
    • Develop the internal strategy and plans for quality assurance system
    • Monitor Services availability as per agreed SLA with Vendors & contracted Service Providers
    • Network Investigation
    • Undertake Independent Network & Service Quality Investigations vis-à-vis approved Technology KPI
    • Adopt best practice tools to allow for monitoring & investigations imitative within Technology
    • Undertake in-depth end-to-end Quality investigation on quality issues affecting Technology (Investigate and
    • Detect Performance degradation)
    • Identify quality problems via statistics, probes or drive tests and escalate to relevant technical team for action
    • Share weekly reports for senior leadership team as well as to engineers

    Requirements for the Quality Engineer Job

    • Degree or diploma in Electrical and Electronics engineering or Telecoms Engineer
    • 3 years of work experience in telecoms preferably in a GSM environment, field operations or network management, 1 year of which should be in a 24 hour working environment;
    • Highly analytical with strong reporting and presentation skills.
    • Very good in excel, able to develop small macros with good understanding of generators and mobile technologies
