    Temporary Data Integrity Supervisor

    Primary Purpose

    This position is primarily responsible for leading more technically involved projects within Data Integrity (DI), and assisting the Associate Director of Information Management in increasing the technical capacity of Reports Analysts. Additionally, this position will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate preparation of standard and ad hoc statistical and operations reports.

    Supervision

    This position reports directly to the Associate Director of Information Management (ADIM). The position supervises and oversees the work of the department in the absence of the DI Coordinator.

     

    Essential Duties

    1. Provides leadership to the Reports Analysts, including performance evaluations, participating in hiring and annual leave coordination.
    2. Assists the DI Coordinator in developing, updating, and implementing of DI SOPs.
    3. Ensures effective and timely communication with management and the leadership team in response to report requests.
    4. Oversees and manages the daily workload of Reports Analysts in the Data Integrity.
    5. Reviews and monitors team and individual progress towards section goals.
    6. Develops and implements training for new reports analysts.
    7. Develops and implements training modules for new staff and provides regular re-training in regards to data integrity.
    8. Takes the lead on the more technically challenging projects assigned by DI Coordinator.
    9. Continually works on converting as much of the DI reporting portfolio into an automated format.
    10. Assists the DI Coordinator to improve the technical knowledge and practices of the Reports Analysts.
    11. Prepares routine and ad hoc RSC statistical reports as needed for various RSC staff and implementing partners e.g. US Embassy Refugee Coordinator, UNHCR, IOM and the Voluntary Agencies.
    12. Prepares and automates regular sectional quality control reports to ensure data accuracy and identify training needs.
    13. Works closely with the DI and Operations staff to identify training needs at the RSC.
    14. Coordinates and oversees -annual inter-departmental process review and recommends improvements in quality control.
    15. Maintains a current understanding and keeps abreast of any updates of RSC SOPs.
    16. Works closely with RPC staff on issues related to WRAPS data fixes and deployed new releases.
    17. Works closely with Team Leaders to ensure that they have tailor made tools at their disposal which enables them their departmental output meet RSC quality standards and adhere to USRAP processing guidelines.
    18. Produce Tableau Data Visualization Workbooks for management and staff.
    19. Other duties as assigned.

     

    Qualifications

    Education:

    Bachelor’s Degree four (4) years of directly related experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s required.

    Experience:

    Supervisory and leading small team projects required.

    Experience working with databases.

     

    Knowledge / Skills:

    • Advanced knowledge in TRANSACT SQL required
      • Queries, stored procedures, views and functions
    • Microsoft SQL Server database design required
    • Knowledge and Experience using Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 in the context of SQL Server Reporting Services.
    • Advanced computer knowledge, specifically with MS Outlook, MS Excel or other statistical analysis programs required.
    • Knowledge of US refugee resettlement and working experience with the WRAPS database a must.
    • Experience using Tableau Data Visualization Software a plus.

    Abilities:

    The Data Integrity Supervisor must have the ability to:

    • analyze and generate excellent reports with the ability to assimilate, process, and document information for a variety of audiences;
    • identify problems and come up with resolutions to improve operations;
    • supervise and lead a team in order to meet set goals and outcomes;
    • periodically review the current reports and statistics and recommend any changes with a view of improving accuracy and precision of the reports and statistics;
    • adhere to CWS RSC Africa, DI Standard Operating Procedures;
    • communicate effectively both verbally and in writing;
    • follow instructions from the Supervisor with a positive and receptive attitude;
    • deal effectively and courteously with a large number of associates, outside agencies, refugees and members of the general public;
    • conduct oneself in a professional and courteous manner to represent the best interests of CWS RSC Africa;
    • maintain a high performance standard with attention to detail;
    • carry out all of the duties of the position efficiently and effectively with minimal supervision;
    • work independently and contribute to overall operations of CWS RSC Africa;
    • take initiative in the development and completion of projects;
    • lead others and address issues as they arise;
    • maintain strict confidentiality with CWS RSC Africa administrative and operational information;
    • manage a large and diverse workload under pressure with competing priorities;
    • analyze and solve complex problems and make sound decisions;
    • work well as a team in a multi-cultural environment while maintaining a high level of motivation;
    • effectively manage CWS RSC Africa’s resources;
    • actively participate in the implementation of the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program (USRAP).
