Treatment Adherence And Support Officer at Christian Health Association of Kenya (CHAK)

This position will support the provision of treatment adherence support and psychosocial services to Persons Living with HIV in supported facilities and to improve retention and treatment outcomes.

Location
Machakos with extensive travel to supported health facilities in Lower Eastern

Minimum Qualifications

• Diploma in Nursing
• At least 3 years working experience in HIV programs
• Familiarity with HIV community programs including peer education

Key Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of treatment adherence and psychosocial support package including defaulter tracing, facility-community linkages and adolescent package of care through continuous onsite supervision and mentorship.
• Strengthen HIV community mobilization activities and linkages with community-based organizations
• Identifying training needs, plan, facilitate, and take part in training of health care workers and other stakeholders on adherence and psychosocial support and PHDP
• Ensuring meaningful involvement of peer educators and mentor mothers in treatment adherence support activities.
• Implementing evidence-based techniques and strategies to ensure quality programming in adherence and psychosocial and prevention activities under direction from the TAS specialist.
• Identifying, documenting and sharing key lessons learnt on adherence and psychosocial support from health facilities and the community
