Field Service Engineer (Mechatronic) (m/f) at KHS GmbH

The candidate (m/f) should have an extensive knowledge of mechatronics and services. At present KHS operates its own facilities in Nairobi with organizational links to our Middle East/Africa market zone.

• Be first point of contact for KHS clients with regard to service and repair of KHS equipment
• Installation of machinery and plant components according to plans and engineering drawings
• Customer support and care in all service areas
• Carry out maintenance and break down service independently
• Creation of service reports following all customer visits
• Perform all duties required in Service Level Agreements between Customers and KHS
• Communication with customers and departments within KHS
• Electronic commissioning of machinery
• Assist with training on KHS machines / equipment
• Inventorying and recommend spare parts to customers
• Assist in elimination of technical malfunctions

• Qualification as mechatronic (m/f) or comparable education (Bachelor’s degree or above)
• Advanced electrical skills, Siemens S5/S7, ICONIX, B&R, KUKA, Simotion/ Sinamics, TIA Portal.
• Basic mechanical skills
• 5 years working experience is preferable
• Knowledge of process engineering
• Be ready to install and commission machines
• Solution-oriented mindset
• Good spoken and written English, German or/and French skills would be an advantage
• Analytical thinking for solving technical tasks
• Profound knowledge of MS-Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
• Must be a strong team player with the ability to work in a multicultural environment
• Assertiveness and organizational skills
• Self-confident and friendly appearance
• Willingness to travel extensively throughout Africa and beyond
