    Community Oral Health Officer

    Job Description

    Professional Qualifications and Experience
    • Diploma in Diploma in Community Oral Health
    • 2 years’ in a similar / related role, preferably working in a Hospital
    Key Duties
    • Diagnosis and treatmentPermanent and temporary dental restorations which include:
    1. Root canal treatment
    2. Dental fillings
    3. Pulpotomy
    • Reducing and splinting fractures of the jaw.
    • Making orders of dental equipment from the pharmacy.
    • Extraction of decayed teeth.
    • Disimpaction of impacted teeth.
    • Writing prescription drugs to dental patients.
    • Keeping records of patients attended to in the dental clinic and any appointments made.
    • Advising patients on oral health and oral hygiene.
    • Ensure the smooth and efficient running of the dental clinic.
    • Ensure the proper use and maintenance of the machines and equipment in the dental clinic.
    • Maintaining stock of equipment in the clinic.
