About The Job: This is a top level position reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer.

The successful candidate’s primary role is to ensure that the institution’s finances are collected, used and invested in a prudent way to meet not only recurrent but also future needs.

He/she will provide effective leadership to a large team.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategies relating to overall financial management of the institution;
• Monitor and manage the financial health of the institution;
• Oversee the preparation and production of timely and accurate sets of accounts;
• Provide leadership in treasury management and ensuring that funds are optimally deployed;
• Ensure that there are adequate internal controls in place and that these are being complied with;
• Brief the CEO and the board of directors as required;
• Coordinate the preparation and presentation of annual budgets & plans and once approved their implementation.
• Provide effective leadership and motivation of staff to render a superior service at all times.

Qualifications, Experience and Other Requirements:

• Should hold a university degree preferably a masters;
• Should be a qualified accountant CPA, ACCA etc
• Should have at least10 years post graduation experience
• Should have headed the finance function for at least three years;
• Have proven analytical, problem solving and communication skills;
• Able to get a large team to work together
• Have excellent understanding of the role of ICT in finance and accounting.
