Job Description

Location: Kagwe – Kiambu

Responsibilities

• Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Analyzing company’s financial performance, preparing budgets and forecasts.
• Liaising with internal and external auditors.
• Working with all departments and the management team to help make financial decisions.
• Process payments and ensuring that all approved are made accurately and on a timely basis.
• Ensures that all payments have adequate supporting documents with correct payment voucher numbers and budget codes have been allocated accurately, and that all necessary authorizations have been obtained.
• Performs reconciliations of transactions involving suppliers and other service providers.
• Prepares bank reconciliations and maintains a complete file on the monthly financial transactions.
• To produce timely and reliable management information reports.
• Assist in negotiating supplier terms and agree payment plans where necessary.
• Maintaining company’s asset register.
• Ensuring relevant tax and statutory deductions are paid up in time.
• Assist in establishing and maintaining costing models for the company.
• Making sure spending is in line with budgets
• Recommending ways of cutting costs

Job Requirements

• University degree in an area related to Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or its equivalent
• CPA K or and equivalent professional qualification
• Minimum 5 years post university experience in a similar role
• Experience in auditing will be an added advantage
• Has an overall accounting experience and reporting exposure
• Knowledge of accounting systems, financial reporting and internal methodologies
