Komaza provides farmers with support across the forestry value chain, from seedlings to sawmills. With a dramatically lower-cost and more-scalable forestry model, ...
About The Team
The Komaza Nursery team is responsible for scaling up production to growing and delivering a million seedlings in 2018 alone with exponential growth in the years following. In order to hit these ambitious targets, we are composed of eager, self-driven, and detail-oriented teammates – who care as much about strictly following protocols as we do about hitting our numbers. As the result of this hard work and rapid growth, we have become one of Kenya’s largest propagators of Eucalyptus seedlings, and the world’s largest and most successful Melia Volkensii nursery.
About This Role
Data is critical to managing the delicate seedling production process - from identifying the most effective production techniques to ensuring we hit our production targets in time for the rainy season. The Nursery Data Systems Associate will lead the development of systems to scale our Nursery operations to serve thousands of small-scale farmers with our unique microforestry model. You will also design and execute nursery logistics systems to produce millions of tree seedlings annually.
