Dispatch Officer at Mission for Essential Drugs and Supplies (MEDS)

Responsible for making sure customer orders reach their destinations safely, securely and on time

Job Responsibilities

• Organize transportation of customer orders;
• Manage information accrued from MEDS to delivery points for accountability;
• Coordinate and track movement of customer orders through logistical pathways;
• Maintain quality throughout the logistics process;
• Supervise, coach and train Dispatch Assistants;
• Resolve any arising problems or customer complaints;
• Prepare accurate reports for decision making;
• Verify transporters invoices for payment approval;
• Update transporters performance records for decision making;

Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain;
• At least 3 years proven experience in Logistics;
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage staff;
• The successful candidate must also possess excellent interpersonal skills, communication skills, organization skills and understanding of transportation issues
