    Strategic Planning Specialist

    Job Details

We are currently looking for a Strategic Planning Specialist to support and guide one partner organization in Kenya through a comprehensive strategic planning process. The organization engages women in Kenya in HIV and AIDS Prevention, care and support, gender/human rights awareness, advocacy and economic empowerment. The organization serves as a common voice for these vulnerable populations in efforts to increase their access to quality services, reduce stigma and discrimination, while engaging various stakeholders in advocacy and policy dialogue.

The consultant will review any existing strategy documents and come up with a detailed plan for how to work with the organization to develop a comprehensive strategic plan. Ultimately, it is expected that the partner organization will have a strategic plan that is a tool to guide planning, resource mobilization and implementation of organizational priorities.

The consultant is expected to work with the partner organization in a participatory manner and involve as many key staff as possible. A variety of methodologies should be utilized to stimulate creative thinking and manage discussions. The consultant acts as a facilitator and is not expected to write the strategic plan but rather to guide and support the partner organization to develop a strategic plan (including providing a template).

The work is expected to take no more than 2o days and the consultant must be available to start by May 25, 2018.

    Qualifications:
