Tutorial Fellow - Physics at Multimedia University of Kenya

Applicants for the position of Tutorial Fellow – Grade MAC 11 MUST be holders of the following qualifications, relevant work experience and publications as indicated below:-

• Master of Science in Physics from an accredited and recognized University;
• Bachelor of Science in Physics or Bachelor of Science in engineering degree from accredited and recognized university;
• Be registerable for a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) or equivalent Doctoral degree qualification;
• Should demonstrate competence in teaching and research in Applied Optics and LASERS;
• Certificate in Computer Applications skills from a recognized institution;
• Be registered or registerable with the relevant professional body (where applicable); and
• Demonstrated potential for university teaching and research.

Duties and Responsibilities

This is the entry grade for this cadre. Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail:-

• Lecturing in area of specialization in accordance with the syllabus;
• Preparing teaching/learning materials and schemes of work;
• Setting and marking examination/assignments;
• Carrying out research work under the guidance and supervision of senior lecturer.
• Preparing students progress reports;
• Maintaining discipline in lecture rooms/halls; and
• Prepare publications and/or books;
