Function of Job:

Under general supervision of Laboratory Quality Control Manager, provide service and support to the laboratory team by maintaining scientific instrumentation

Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities:

• Oversee and perform the maintenance and repair of all analytical equipment in laboratory
• Achieve high level skills in the theory and practice of troubleshooting and repair of laboratory instruments, throiugh online and practical training sessions
• Organize, maintain, review, and write preventative maintenance procedures for instrumentation.
• Organize, maintain, and review data and records of repairs and maintenance performed on laboratory instrumentation
• Organize internal and external calibrations of equipment in accordance with ISO17025 accreditation
• Ensure optimized performance of laboratory power back up and invertor system
• Perform a variety of computer related software and hardware upgrades, including equipment database management and instrument integrations with LIMS
• Order and maintain or oversee parts inventory for instrument repairs and upgrades.
• Design and/or fabricate replacement parts for aging instruments as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
