Ophthalmic Theater Nurse at Mabati Rolling Mills Limited (MRM)

Job Description

Job Summary:

• Handle day-to-day theatre work with the surgeon
• Familiar with the necessary theatre equipment & pre-operative preparation i.e.
• Ensuring that the surgeon has the right instruments or tools at the right time
• Monitor the sterility and safety of the surgical field, and keep a general watch over patients.
• Receive and hand over patients by preparing accurate, detailed and timely reports.

Qualification/Experience:

• Higher diploma in Ophthalmic nursing from a recognized institution will be an added advantage
• Registration certificate issued by the Nursing Council of Kenya - Valid practicing license from Nursing Council of Kenya.
• At least two years’ experience in a busy Ophthalmic Clinic
