    Senior Programme and Communications Manager

    Job Description

    The Programme Manager will coordinate and manage the implementation of the Strategic Plan, support technical and administrative staff, manage communications with the donors, and conduct broader communications and outreach. A competitive salary package with benefits is offered for the position at CORDIO’s office in Mombasa. Kenyan citizenship or pre-existing visa to live and work in Kenya required.

    Applications should be no longer than two pages and address the following criteria:

    Job Requirements

    • MSc; environmental field preferred; Additional training, diplomas or experience in management, business and/or communications a distinct advantage
    • At least 5 years track record of implementation of multiple projects in environment, development or related fields, preferably with research activities
    • Proven experience in budgeting and management of donor funds
    • Proven experience in project monitoring and evaluation and collection of M&E data
    • Experience in results based frameworks for implementation of programme activities and reporting of scientific projects, preferably in environment
    • Demonstrated experience in formal reporting to donors and advisory boards
    • Strong communication skills in English required, including verbal, formal written reports for donors, and general media including magazines/articles, radio/video/other recordings, social media presence.
    • Fluency in Kiswahili desirable.
    • Kenyan citizen or permanent resident status in Kenya.
